I purchased one of these and only after 4 days, the speakers started crackling. I sent it back and after 2 weeks, still no replacement. Maybe I should of went with the HP instead?

Actually, I just installed a poor version of the program and all I had to do was uninstall it then my screen worked again. Though it was NOT easy to browse through the phone without a touch screen. Good thing I had my bluetooth keyboard with all the shortcuts ready.

Just make hard reset and then red and green buttons, make sure you back up first before you hard reset

Did you recently install a new program? It has happened to be before as well. Try to find a way to uninstall the most recent program you have installed.

Hi,I just wan to ask how come my O2 Atom touch screen suddenly cannot work,i have already restart the phone but still cannot use the pen to function the phone. Any solution for it? Hope to hear from u all soon

I'll try to help some of your problems:
- Battery need to be charged on a daily basis
Set back up light to lower than 5, it's bright enough, set it to turn off after 30 seconds, power save after 3 minutes, turn off screen when listening to music. This should help it last at least 2 days.
- camera is below average,unless bieng is a bright day light.
Play around with the settings a bit and make sure you don't move the camera for 2.5 seconds after the shutter sound.
- if you use it in the car to call, then you need to be very carefull.
Install vjphoneshortcuts, it can help you get a button shortcut to call history.
- install the necessory programs only,or it becomes slow.
Install on memory card only and always stop all programs you are not using in "memory" then it should be always fast.
- it doesnt insert a cantact info into a text message, you have to put it as a vcard in a MMS !!!!!

Been using this phone for almost 3-4 mths and it's been doing quite well. But my only main concern is that "IT'S THE VIDEO QUALITY!!". How am I able to "at least" reach 10fps? HP ipaq has flash for it's video capture.. Is it possible to get that features on my atom? Pls pls help..... And Will.... Thankx for the T9 s/w.. It's working great!!! *winkx*

I have experienced the same problem, after being supplied two O2 atoms with the Buzz noise my provider agreed to supply me with a HP rw6828, I now have that same static noise from behind the LCD, Its a problem with the factory and I cant beleive o2 say that this is not a fault. I have spoken to O2 and HP support, the only response is to send it back at my expense. Neither recommended.

Atom comes with pre-installed MSN messenger. Any idea how we can install a yahoo messenger..?? If some1 knows this, also pls let me know which version of Y!messenger shd i download & from which link..???

I'm not sure if u can hide the file. But u sure can password protect it. Can try download the software from the following link. Choose the .zip format & run it after u Sync your Atom with the computer.

hi all ...i have got a serious problem with O2 atom...
When i am connecting the ear phones i am getting voice in only one ear .I have tested with other earphones also, using a 2.5mm to 3.5mm convertor supplied in the box.Even in other ear plugs also , i am getting the voice in one side.There is some problem in ear phone jack.
how can get rid of this?? i dont want to goto service center ....they will simply claim lot of charges ...
can anyone give me a suggestion

hi, somebody mentioned that he cant recieve bluetooth connections:
go to start> settings> connections> Beam> put check in the box saying "Recieve all incoming beams"
it wont ask you weather to recieve or not. it will start recieving automatically, then it ask you weather to accept the file or delete :)

hi!
this is for 12IrS12....to send a file through bluetooth make sure ur bluetooth is on and then go to file explorer-options-beam file. it should show the other blue tooth device...then just tap to send

I have two questions. When I soft reset it tells me to do auto configuration but since I live in Canada, none of it makes any sense. Is there a way for it to not ask me anymore? Or is there a way to set it for Canada?
Also, when I watch news with journal bar sometimes it tries to connect with GPRS. I don't use GPRS because I don't want to pay for it, is there a way to disable it permanently until I want it on?

U might wana know that Atom only support Wireless B network standard. I believe that that router u mentioned support B/G.

Could anyone post a link for a software that can make the flash light present on atom to be switched on off manually?
That wud be a great help.
And r there any softwares for the camera that can derive more options out of it.
