hi allan! thanks. actually i just got my atom yesterday, although i was also considering the p990 up until the last minute. p990 seems like a good fone, but it is still not a pocket pc. basically, that's it. it's got good reviews though...

another question, since atom is a pda, would removing the battery tp change sim cards affect the fone? i mean, would it erase all my files, apps, etc stored in the fone? help...please?

    Does anyone have problems with Using motorola H700 bluetooth headset with Atom? I'm experiencing poor call quality, coz i can hardly hear wat the other party is saying, but without using blue tooth it is ok, but not great either. it is worst if u install the volume limiter from O2. any solutions? desperate for help.....

      I have had 2 O2 Atoms recently and am just about to recieve my 3rd replacement. The 1st 2 both made a slight hissing sound from speakers when switched on. The 1st one did it straight out of the box where as the 2nd one only started making the sound after the 1st week. I have spoeken to several people about it and have recieved a variety of answers ranging from it is normal to it is a fault that only affects a particular series. Can anyone offer any advice on the problem?

        Can anyone tell me if the HP ipaq 6828 is different to the O2 Atom? Upon reading opinions, it seems the HP camera has some issues.

          I'm a new O2 Atom user, i love this pda phone. Can someone please tell me what program i need to install to sync my O2 to an imac laptop? Thanks in advance

            Kat, yes, basically the same except the processor speed, ROM n casing. I wish i could help u to decide on which phone, BUT i havent gotten it yet. i m looking 4ward to purchase the SE P990 IF it gets a good review, otherwise O2 Atom Exec would be my contingency back-up hp, :-)

                  Kat, almost everything is the same for atom n atom exec except that the latter has more ROM n faster processor n matte-finish. the atom has a glossy casing which attracts fingerprint easily. i believe atom exec comes included a IR keyboard, but u have to check with the dealer/seller on whether it is included with the atom exec in respective country.

                      Syed, where did you buy your Atom Exe? I though it has been only out for a month. (but you got it 2 months ago).

                      Or the one you brought is actually the orginal Atom?

                        Please dont waste your money on this product.
                        I bought Atom Exec two months ago and since then I have series of problem. I have send for repairs three times already. The speaker is useless, the system hangs frequently and tI have already have to replace the screen, it cracks easily. It is not worth at all to invest in any Atom product. I am looking for other reliable brand of PDA now.

                          hello everyone...
                          Does any1 knows wheater the XDA IIi supports 1gb SD or not?
                          XDA IIi or O2 atom is better choise to get?
                          Really hope to hear from some1 experienced both the phone or either 1 of it if you're using them.

                            - Alarm clock , go into Settings/Systems/Clocks & alarms - there are 3 alarms there you can set. (rememebr to turn speaker volume up before you go to bed !! )

                            - Phone Ring Tone - download a loud ringtone/.sms tone - gpo.wav is very loud - google for it. I use PhoneAlarmLite - try that too its great app for Atom 15$US

                              Can anybody help me with 2 issues - A) can the O2 be configured to alert on receipt of SMS when in battery save mode, B) The alrrm volume is very faint, can it be increased. I used my old mobile as an alarm clock but this just doesnt have it.

                                Hi Ben,

                                Thanks, turning off the firewall worked for using the activesync, although I don't think that's the way it should work.
