i just get it 1 weeks ago... but i find out that while the battery life still 20% remain... when i recieved a call, it wil automatically restart....

Easy to use and user friendly softwares. I have been experiencing a problem with the Camera though. I cannot get cam to work. the biggest problem with the PDA is the cam.

The Atom screen is defined as '256K colors (65K effective)'. Can anybody explain what this means, is the screen 256ZK or 65K?

My O2 had an Audio problem. Mainly the speakers gave up after only 5 weeks of use producing crackling noise. I live in Perth Western Australia and had to call O2 support. I was told it is no longer a DOA and that I have to send it to Queensland (Eastern State) for Repair. It took 4 days to arrive, 3 days for them to open the package, 10 days waiting for parts and another 4 days to be sent back. I am talking working days here people. I have been without my expensive PDA for a Month+. The PDA will be delivered next Monday. If that unit is not fixed correctly I will lose the plot. I have to add that the service company do not answer the phone. They also sent me back very little information via Email after I sent them about 5 of them. Well, all I have to say, O2 should ashamed of this product and service and I will never buy an O2 ever again.

i had this atom right from the first ROM and have upgraded to the latest, ive been happy with it esp since dled the latest ROM. im a software freak so until today i have more than 40 softwares installed in my 2gb mini sd, nothing has gone wrong whatsoever. FYI wisbar advance2 is now can be used on Atom!!!! it makes my atom looks hell nicer!!!
if ur a type person who like to put everything (i mean EVERYTHING)in one very compact device CHOOSE ATOM!!
btw to Z: u dun have to put ur MP3 or wma or wav on ur main memory to be enabled as a ringtone coz too much files in the main memory will slow down ur atom, just save them in ur memory card but DONT save them inside any folder, leave it outside, then when u go to 'Setting - phone' u'll see all ur mp3s under ringtone. or if u want to make it easier just buy Ringo

If you experience problems w/ your speakers. Perhaps, you should try using the equalizer in your Atom. Go to program > Equalizer. Turn it on. You can custom it or use one of many preconfigured settings available. Hope this will solve your problem.

I regret to hear that your experience w/ the Atom went sour. I went through the same problems your encountering as we speak. But I firmly believe that you problem can be fixed by upgrading your phone to the latest ROM available @ the O2 software website support. As far as I know, no one has had any problem of your nature ever since the upgrade was properly installed. Perhpas, you should upgrade your phone ASAP to avoid any further frustration w/ the mighty Atom. Here's the link to do your upgrade:

I think the problem is your actual phone itself. Probably the hole where you insert the stylus is slightly too big. To be perfectly honest w/ you, I would strongly suggest you go back where you bought your phone and see if a technician can fix your problem. I know it may be a hassle, but it is worth a trip. Don't try to fix it yourself 'cause you might make it worse. And FYI, I haven'tencounter that problem yet. But I do have another problem, which is the back cover of my battery that is slightly loose. But I fixed that problem already by inserting a little piece of paper between my battery and the cover and now it is ok. Good luck pal!

thanks for the info i got one little prob now. my stylus is very lose it doesnt lock have u ever experience it? or anyone else? coz everything is doing good already except for the stylus is falling off wen i turn up side down. i wont lock. i dont wna go to the store i baught my XDA atom. like its hassle

The WLAN on the Atom is sure good. Of course, if you compare it w/ a laptop... well it's like comparing a Honda Civic w/ a Ferrari. You get the point? The WLAN on the Atom runs very smoothly for a pocket pc. But a laptop will always be on top. I hope I answered your question.

You can verify your ROM version by going into your 'settings' menu, then 'system' and 'system info'. Buttom of the page you should see your ROM version and it should be: 20060105B1WWE or 20060426B1WWE. If you got one of them, you're good to go!

Thank you for the info. It was helpful. Please note that you could take MP3's from the card and use them as ring tones and not only WAV but MP3 and WMA as well.
