i am looking for the rom updates for the atom; also I cannot find the synchronise software for the atom with the apple mac powerbook G4. Can anyone please help?

Hi, do u guys how to setup a network with ATOM xda?
I have connect the cable to the pc(usb)and do not know how to connect to the network or how to configer. Please help me,
I can't find any related issues in the manual and i am not technical at all... please help me

It seems like the atom has lots of problems. Dopod is coming out with lots of phones. How do you think the atom would fair with the Dopod 838?

is that latest ROM any good for people living in Australia??? as it says India, Malaysia and Vietnam.

This is the best pocketpc phone ever. The small form factor allows me to carry it anywhere, even in my jeans. I used to carry the P900 for work and change to a smaller phone like the T68i when I wear jeans because the P900 will not fit. Now with the Atom, it fits whatever I clothes I wear. The Atom is also the first and only phone I use that would allow me to do an online banking transaction using the Opera 8.5 browser and GPRS. All previous phones are not powerful enough to do it, since the HSBC account I have is very picky what browser you use. It is almost like a full PC. With WM5, I can now do powerpoint demos right on the phone. Using Xcpuscalar I can also overclock it to 728MHz, making it the fastest PocketPC available. It definitely the best phone I have ever own, can't think of anything else I would want to include, unless 3G comes out in China, which is where I am residing for now.

I am using this phone for the last 3 months. It was bad in the beginning, now after all those ROM upgrades, it is cool. Now it is very much faster, has more memory to use and the call clarify had improved. I would definitely suggest this phone to anyone who is in dialema about it. It has got all the features you ever wanted. The only bad thing about the phone is the camera. It is not even close to other 2MP cameras. But O2 is coming up with another ROM upgrade, which is expected to solve this issue too.

I've found that even after the ROM upgrade, this phone/PDA still has problems - especially with the phone feature. For example. If someone calls me, but I don't asnwer, occasionaly, the phone will tell me i have 5 missed calls, which all happened in the same time?? When I try to make calls, it occasionaly won't let me hang up. A soft reset usually fixes the problem, but things still need to be polished up by o2. Hopefully the next ROM release will address some of these issues.

I bought this guy when it first came out at Hong Kong, but it really disappointed me due to its performance. I couldn't believe how slow that was with its 416Mhz chip even I flashed it to the lastest ROM from OS website. General tasks have no problem even it's a bit behind on speed which I can live with that. But the FM radio is kinda pointless with its quality; the camera is most biggest disappointment as it takes about 10-11 sec to finish the process of taking ONE picture!!! the battery life is OK, at least last for a whole day. it gets hang twice in almost three weeks which is OK with me. other than above, software and other features have no problem as a good PDA smartphone. The screen and size both outstanding.

Sadly.. had my O2 Atom stolen yesterday... looking to get another!
I had 2 concerns though...
battery life (which I can live with)...
and is that I find the volume level low.. especially when using a bluetooth headset. Has anyone found any resolutions to this? Any suggested headsets? (My Jabra BT800 is much better than my Motorolo 850..)
also would someone mind reposting the March ROM? seems that that link is now expired...

What's their website address for the 02? The imate website sucks, it only lets members view updates for their own PDA. It won't allow people to see if the PDA has any new updates pending before one buys their product. That is a big negative..

When i first got this phone, i thought it was pretty slow, kind of worried after spending about 5900HKD$, after getting my hands on the firmware update, this really has become a different phone, the speed, stability and general opening of programs have improved so much, this phone is absolutely excellent after the firmware update, its really small, wifi, got everything a pocketpc got, battery life excellent. it almost does everything a pc would do.
the most excellent phone i have ever used, the 9500 nokia does not even compare to this, if you are after a phone that does it all, this is it. its absolutely excellent.

Hey,
Have been looking to buy a new phone and find the Atom very interesting. Does any one have problems writing on the screen. How easy is it? Any help would be great.
