Paul - I spoke to O2 directly and they said no. I then spoke to Carphone Warehouse and they said they would not be marketing it because they have made space solely to launch the iPhone (boooooo). They only way I can get my hands on one is abroad (US, Asia or Australia) which is around £425 plus p&p.

I think the phone is so so
the screen is a bit dim (not bright) though :<
also the CPU speed did not impress me since i did a benchmark with htc tytn
found out tytn was a bit faster to play a vga quality movie
also wifi drains a lot of power from this device :

hello guys... do anyone of you know where i can download the ROM Upgrade for this Wonderful and superb device? It maybe big but hey, how can 3.6inch screen fit a 2 inch case right? just a simple thing to think about. :) cheers...

Hi, guy, I am from Singapore. I haev been a supporter of NOkia. I never use O2 phone before.
This XDA Flame really impress me with its display. As it cots $1400, can I know, is this phone good? I dun want to spend large amount of $ to buy a phone that will hang or lousy.
$ is not an issue, but I want to ensure that the $ paid is worth.

ok after owning 2 O2 phones i have to say something positive ;) it is a good organiser....thats it! Ou yea i did not forget its other options, i just refuse to be negative :P
So in conclusion O2 phones are just good organisers ONLY!

Can anyone comment on the screen brightness as well as the battery life? Another thing is that is this phone stable? Thank you.

tombah, if you really really do research on PDAs. you should know. Till now, you ever seen a PERFECT PDA in the market? If this Flame got hold of GPS, HSDPA, 10Hrs Usable, what's going to happen to other mobile device in the market? Eveything mobile device got its set back, Yes its so simple, just add a chip in, yeah, GPS is there, but why they wont do it? Which provider will be so stupid to come out with a model that kills their slightly older model mobile devices?

N95. yeah, I got so many colleague using it now and complaining of their normal usage battery life, GPS .. takes 5 to 10 mins to locate the position, LAG, want to add more?

all o2 phones sucks! no competition with nokias n95. so expensive and really hard to sell. u bought it for a high price u sell it for a low price watta crap phone it is. im so disappointed with this phone hard to tx when your on the go. specially when your driving.

Loving this thread and can't wait to get my hands on this PPC. It definitely ticks all the boxes for me :)
Does anyone know where I can get one in the UK? And .. if it's possible to upgrade to one as i'm due an upgrade with O2.

now i have got WM6 (its around 60mb) ... so should i upgrade it to my flame ?? or its risky ??
Also,
1. is ther any option to increase ringtone volume ??
2. i paired a nokia blueooth headset (Model : BH-300), it got paired!! but i can hardly hear the opposite person. as there is no volume control on this model, i cannot increase the volume and my phone's vol. was MAX , but stil no loud sound. >>> would appreciate suggestions on this one!
3. when i connect the USB for ACTIVESYNC, the phone get really hot. Whts the reason for this???? but when i charge normally, phone is okay !!!!!!!

Argh, just checked O2 website, they have new WM6 ROM upgrade for ZINC! and not Flame~!!! Booo..
For memory card. Im not sure if MicroSD comes out with 4GB already. But well, sometimes we cant really based on what the spec stated. Its all depends on what chipset the MemoryCard use. I believe, 4GB memorycard can work on Flame, just that maybe need get the compatible chipset. It happens on my previus XDAII.
As for GPS. We do know without GPS, its disappointing. But comon, we do KNOW with GPS integrated, your battery will drop like crazy (Nokia N95). Since GPS likely to be use in car. Why not buy a Bluetooth GPS unit. And bluetooth sync with O2 Flame for longer usage? If you seriously looking for GPS integrated model. Pls refer to Asus PDA. And not here complaining on "what the heck O2" or what sort.

on their sight,O2 says they trid meny SD cards up to 2G. no prblm. isnt this normal.what about 4g O2 or more ?
