God I hate this phone!!! I got it when I broke my S.E P910i (great phone incidently) and was forced to claim. Unfortunately the P910i isn't made anymore.

As a PDA it's not bad, there are many functions available and it doesn't matter how bad my handwritting is, it will recognise it although apostrophies are a problem.

      Now the bad news :-
      1. Run out of power and you lose everything!
      2. Turn on B.Tooth or especially WLAN and just watch the battery go down!
      3. The screen drains the battery too!
      4. There is a bug where sometimes a receiver can't hear what your saying when you call them.
      5. Everything you do involves 2 hands, (watch out for lamp posts)
      6. As a phone it is shite, it's too much like hard work calling somebody, especially when the contact isn't in the SpeedDial list.
      7. The keyboard is too small to be useful, but I did expect this. (it was useless on the P910i too)
      8. The camera exists but doesn't have any practical purpose.
      9. Why can't I use sounds sent to me as a ringtone, it really pisses me off!
10 Does not sync well at all with my wireless handsfree kit.

      On the plus side ;-
      1. Syncs well with Outlook.
      2. Makes it easy to move contacts from one machine to another from outlook.
      3. Email works well.

Overall I have to give this a very low mark because it is first and formost a phone and it is not easy to use.

Very nice phone. I have been using mine since February 2005. A bit of an issue though is the stylus which keeps falling off from its slot after a while. I've lost one already and decided to put a piece of tape around my current stylus so it won't fall off.

Users might be experiencing technical problems. Well, neither human nor gadgets are perfect! That's why we'll see new gadgets every other week/month/year. If not, inventors won't have jobs and manufacturers couldn't expand the business.

Come on, guys! It's a 'give and take' situation. It's a matter of choosing the right gadget suits you. You wouldn't find a perfect gadget that could last long (without repair-that's why manufacturers offer a guarantee or after sales service) and always up-to-date.

Had a O2 XDA IIs since last december. It is simply a great phone. Those who read the reviews and comments saying this phone is unstable..or not good enough ..let me say this IT Is all Rubbish. It is not more unstable than a windows OS which many of us use use in our daily lives.I will agree to a point that this phone is not for users who only need a mobile phone. This being s PDA/phone is more designed towards advanced user.Simply magnificent phone with lots of software available.A must have for all u techno freaks..and not forgetting the real needy ones ... this IS the phone for u..dont belive me ? go buy one..also if anyone posting here encounters any problems regarding this phone ..please fill free to mail me..I will help as much as I can

                                    Hi there,

You hard reset the IIs by holding the soft reset pin in with your stylus and also simultaneously holding the power button (screen on/off button).

The cost of the IIs varies, if ur buying on contract then it depends on what contract you go for. I do not recommend sim free as the only way to get this is through the internet as no shop sells sim free/pay as you go IIs's. This means that you can never speak to anyone in person if, and when, it goes wrong. It means neverending e-mails and hassle.

Hvae a look on the O2 website. They have som excellent deals.

                                    Hope this helps.

Hi there again, i was just wondering if anyone had encountered problems with their GPRS after upgrading to the new ROM for this XDA.

every time i try to download a picture message, go on the internet or anything, it tells me i have to do a 'Network Log On' to a resource called 'Mobile Web' and the user name is 'O2web' and it wants a password and domain from me.

                                        any ideas from anyone?

also, i have a wi-fi connection at home and it tells me that i have a strong connection, however, everytime i try to surf the net, it want this password again. Even if i did get this password would this cost me GPRS money for using my home wi-fi connection? how is that right?

any help would be kindly appreciated.
