I purchased this phone about 18 months ago, it has been a problem from the start, hanging, continuous reseting and a constant worrying about losing data all the time. It has been for repairs and still the problems persist. Desk top charger failed, battery life is too short. In general very disappointing. I am about to give up on any kind of PDA, which is a great pity, as I like to have my contacts and calender with me all the time with the dadded bonus of a phone.

Just got this phone, brilliant piece of kit, granted freezes every now and then but all phones PDAs and computers freeze everynow and then , thats life. This phone has a good "tech" following so most problems have been fixed. try http://www.mtekk.com.au/ if you have any problems not mentioned here. One of my favourite fixes is on this site but was posted along time ago so i will repeat>>You will find the XDA 2s freezes a lot. To fix this get rid of a uneccessary file> in file explorer/windows/startup/ Delete the single file called "connection." This will remove the O2 symbol from the start menu task bar and decrease the similtaneous network connections that slows the device down and causes it to crash.

You can try "Monster Chinese", the best Chinese OS for PPC I've used. Please follow the link below:

                  Hi
I was just wondering whether the Xda IIs gets easily scratched becos i have a nokia 6260 which is obviously made out of extremely bad quality material and it gets big dents and scratches from little things like being in my pocket with coins or something!

will the xda IIs give me the same problem

Of course, Xda 11s is a fentastic PDA. Only problem is if we install any additional software on it, we need to reset. Other than that it has got all latest features.

Does Xdas support linux laptop? at least file transfer via USB sync cable?
Review says it does not support MAC.

Hi there. Juz to give an insight on XDAIIs as I own 1 myself. The device worked well 4 me 4 about 2 weeks before 1 problem after the other occured, now I've got to reset my device like almost every 3 days as it'll get hanged. As for the scratches mentioned, it really does happen, now I've got nasty looking scratches on both sides of the keyboard & it's really frustrating knowing u spent so much & all this is happening. I'd very much like to recommend those who wants to get a PDAphone to go for other brands in the market that's more stable than less fragile.

A good phone. However, the charger/data port on the bottom of the phone is VERY easily damaged.

Internal Bluetooth radio also easily damaged if dropped or knocked. If the radio itself is not damaged, it can become "disconnected" and the Windows Pocket PC software will/can not detect it.

                          Software can also freeze regularly.

I bought my XDA IIs on a business trip in Hong Kong (my country of residence is Greece). It worked for a couple of weeks and then the touchscreen started making problems. I would point on the desired function/program and it would start something else. My problem is that in Greece there is no O2 service. I just waisted some 690 Euro!

IF you are expecting great image results in the vga camera, then think again, the major failing of the product is the lack of quality.
What you see in the preview and what you actually capture are far from the same, if the camera feature was the turning point towards purchasing this product then I would not recommend it. So far I have been told it is a bug, it “might” be fixed, then it was not fixed, now it is considered as reasonable for the phone ability.
Compared to other vga 640 buy 480 digital cameras? I think not.
Apart from that it is ok
