Actually I'm also using O2 Zinc for my E-books and it's working fine and perfect. Maybe to those peole that has hangups anf freezes on the phone you should install atleasr the O2 install utilities that comes with the unit or use spb pocket plus 4.0 so that your open programs closes properly and always install on your memory card maybe you have used up your built-in memory and always check where you put the data of your programs. Check your configurations for proper operation of your units. I've been using O2 Zinc for over a year now and it's working fine. I came from using an O2 Mini II

I had bought O2Xda Zinc mobile one and half year back, presently I am facing problem on the volume, mobile getting hanged up network problems when ever in Mumbai (India)and net connections problem.
Volume - I can't hear the person, volume is too low inspite of the volume bar showing maximum.
Network - It takes a minimum of 10 minutes to get the network when in Mumbai, wereas other mobiles get the network in seconds.
Hangup issues - Almost every second day the set is hanged up I have to close the mobile and restart it.
Lastly my battery gets heated up and its gets discharged very soon i have to keep charging all the time.
Kindly please suggest any service station in Delhi (India) so that I can get the problems rectified.
Also please suggest where can I get a new battery as a back up solution.

Hi guys i have been using xda zinc for years now d only problm i have is sending mms and phone hanging when i open many folders or files. Plz can i upgrade the phone using the internet exploirer inside the phone. When i stall softwares it dos not work Reply plz you can get me ön hi5 facebook myspace my email ifytaaz@yahoo.com contant me

I too foolishly bought the phone in Malaysia last year on holiday. It has given me nothing but trouble since then...
The MWG service centre e-mail based-support is terrible with language barriers and you are left high & dry...
The warranty is not valid in India and the India service centre is outsourced to a third party. It charges 15 GBP as "service" fees, parts extra...God only knows what "service" means as they usually aren't too forthcoming about what the problem was in the first place.
The phone constantly hangs, gmail accounts do not work, the overall speed even with applications off is mediocre, pc sync issues all the time - either calendars or contacts...
This is a high-end phone for most Indians and wonder what experiences like mine must be doing to their equity here...I warn everyone I know not to buy O2 phones regularly and am never going to buy O2 or MWG ever again...

please help me...i cannot use my messaging feature on my phone(o2 xda zinc)...specifically sms and mms..it just don't open as usual...I don't no what is the problem..the other features just work fine the only problem I have encountered is my messaging...please help..

maybe you can find some answers for ur questions about your zinc.
about your syncing issue, try downloading and reinstalling the latest activesync version.
and its WM6 - windows mobile 6.

I foolishly bought this phone whilst on holiday last year in the Philippines, no one in the uk is familiar with the device and sales staff in UK O2 stores tell me they can't help with the many problems the phone exhibits. Syncing to my home copmuter is exceedingly problematic. I have attempted to upgrade to MW6 but can't find the IMEI code for my device (settings-system info-359...)on any of the myxda.com upgrade lists. If anyone out there has a zinc IMEI: 3591300321735 and has upgraded from MW5 to 6 or 6.1 please tell me where to find a reliable site. I don't want to turn my phone into an expensive paperweight. Thanks.

plz guys, can u tell me how to hard reset the phone with WM6 installed. the 'press push up n soft reset button at the same time' doesn't seem to work. thx

1. are you using windows mobile 6? if not, I suggest you upgrade to wm 6. WM 5.0 has many bugs.
2. check your wifi settings. it should connect to "internet" and not to "work"
3. try to reset your phone.
4. if all else fails, Hard reset your phone.
I'm using an o2 xda zinc. I've got no problems at all. it's a good pda phone.

I have been using zinc for at least a year. i have one thing to complain about this device is the qwerty keyboard that is so annoying. i have to push it a bit harder to really connect the alphabetical key to appear. if anyone have the solution i will be glad to hear it. btw I have run testing the keys and all keys are working perfectly fine.

ive got no problem at all with my O2 zinc unit, it's easy to use actually if you know what you are doing, even my internet explorer is working properly. it depends on the network that your using or if you have load ofcourse. if your a prepaid user and tries to connect to the internet without enough load i guess it will not load successfully. aslo i dont experience phone hangs or any issues that the other users are claiming.

I bought my XDA Zine from Dubai.
Here are the issues i am facing.
1.Phone hangs
2.Starts vibrating its self, I have to get it back to normal.
3.Goes to silent its self.
4.Hangs.

i purchased O2 zinc in Doha last month,as many have mentioned facing hanging probs its the same with me. any solutions pls.will upgrading really help, advice.

when i connect using internet explorer, it always says "the page cannot be found. check the name and try again". tama naman lahat ng tinype ko. is there anything wrong with the explorer ba? please advise...
