Same way the 3.5mm jack has been removed to promote wireless earbuds.

Only WiFi 6? The snapdragon 8 gen 2 supports WiFi 6E and WiFi 7.

I love my Oneplus 8T from tmobile but, everything comes after seem like garbage now. What's the point of upgrading if I think it's more of a "downgrade"?

The OnePlus 7 Pro launched for the same 3999 CNY base price back in 2019 and it had just 6GB ram and 128GB storage for said base model. The new OP11 has 12+256 of LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0. That's bleeding edge tech and it doesn't exactly come in cheap. You should be grateful there even is a telephoto. Refer to the XiaoMi 12T Pro's 8 + 2 mp aux cameras...

The main reason they went away is because of phone manufacturers ditching the feature one by one, forcing consumers to buy more internal storage for more money instead. Obviously, no one is going to be buying and using them on phones. How would you use it in there if there's no slot apart from connecting it to the USB plug like an external drive?
