hope its not 2x like in the leaks, most flagships have at least 3x.

Why the hell would anyone be driving a car over 100 mph. Higher resolutions won't kill you. "For TVs/screens would always be an overkill"? Tell that to people watching the videos we shoot 20 years (hell, maybe even 200 years) from now. Videos don't expire, buddy.

And you're being ridiculous, "technology definitely has limits"? You're saying a phone 2 generations newer has worse limits than one from 2 generations ago? You need some common sense.

Stop defending manufacturers who are basically scamming you.

[deleted post]Listen, neanderthal, just because you aren't watching 8K videos right now, doesn't mean I, or other people are not, or won't be in the future. And even if I wanted to upload in 4K I have zero ability to crop into a 4K video without losing quality. Stop being dumb. I've already had to explain part of this and you've just gone and responded with the same point that I disproved in the thing you were replying to.

And "nothing to say bad about the phone"? Ok lemme give you a list.

-It's probably gonna cost around 9 hundred bucks.
-No OIS on the telephoto or ultrawide cameras.
        -No card slot.
        -No headphone jack.
        -Hole in the display.
-Mere 1080p30 video on the front camera.

I'm not saying it's a terrible phone. But OnePlus ain't supposed to some absurdly expensive brand. The whole reason they are where they are today is because of the people who bought their phones back when they were worth it. Back when they offered flagship killer specs, the best software in the game, and a price lower than everything but the cheap garbage. Now they're just releasing overpriced flagships and cheap garbage.

Oneplus is killing me with 2x telephoto zoom sensor. Was looking forward to 4x or 5x zoom at least. Maybe next year.

If OnePlus beat Vivo, with their flagship phone then I can say they will stay in market

Non techy and bullshit mobile shopper's are their main marketing place of OnePlus. Because they are still thinking previous version of OnePlus like OnePlus 7 etc and their buying it.

OnePlus's oxygen OS is based on color os that non techy doesn't know and not care, because for their normal use it enough. Redmi or realme brands also give same sort of things in their phone that non techy doesn't know and which is even cheaper than OnePlus.

I love this design, it looks elegant. What I don't like(I have to mention this every time) is that 2x zoom camera. Why to go backwards?

Going from 480p to 720p was huge, from 720p to 1080p , still great. From 1080p to 4k noticeable. From 4k to 8k? I guess it would still be noticeable but it would barely matter there is only so much that the human eye/brain can see.

So, yeah, he is right to not expect it to matter as much. It's also why most cars topped at 100 MPH (for all intends and purposes), maybe a tiny bit higher. Going too much higher than that and it is mostly useless. Cars are at those top speeds for almost half a century.

So yeah, technology definitely has limits, or -rather- certain technologies (have certain limits). IMO 4k is such a limit. 8k would become more relevant for VR/AR. For TVs/screens would always be an overkill with only niche *actual* uses (say, use your TV as an art piece canvass, or sth like that)...

Give it 20 year or more for technology/ gpu can handle basic 8k with good quality but it really depends port support and developer to go crazy with video requirements for storage
