If OnePlus beat Vivo, with their flagship phone then I can say they will stay in market
Non techy and bullshit mobile shopper's are their main marketing place of OnePlus. Because they are still thinking previous version of OnePlus like OnePlus 7 etc and their buying it.
OnePlus's oxygen OS is based on color os that non techy doesn't know and not care, because for their normal use it enough. Redmi or realme brands also give same sort of things in their phone that non techy doesn't know and which is even cheaper than OnePlus.

I love this design, it looks elegant. What I don't like(I have to mention this every time) is that 2x zoom camera. Why to go backwards?

joe nodden, 22 Dec 2022I'm sure people like you said "who needs 1080p&qu... moreThere is such things as diminishing returns. Going from 480p to 720p was huge, from 720p to 1080p , still great. From 1080p to 4k noticeable. From 4k to 8k? I guess it would still be noticeable but it would barely matter there is only so much that the human eye/brain can see.
So, yeah, he is right to not expect it to matter as much. It's also why most cars topped at 100 MPH (for all intends and purposes), maybe a tiny bit higher. Going too much higher than that and it is mostly useless. Cars are at those top speeds for almost half a century.
So yeah, technology definitely has limits, or -rather- certain technologies (have certain limits). IMO 4k is such a limit. 8k would become more relevant for VR/AR. For TVs/screens would always be an overkill with only niche *actual* uses (say, use your TV as an art piece canvass, or sth like that)...

Give it 20 year or more for technology/ gpu can handle basic 8k with good quality but it really depends port support and developer to go crazy with video requirements for storage

the size of the phone is what took me of.
I had OnePlus every year.
Every Year they added extra mm , and extra mm , and extra mm , and now it broke camels back.
I had to do the unforgiving and bought iPhone mini.
Im happy with the size, Im unhappy with the phone.
onePlus 6 was fine, Nord is already too big , and here we are having these new phones coming ever growing.
If I wanted to buy a laptop I would buy a laptop , you don't really have to replace my laptop with your ever growing handset.
It drives me nuts.

I don't blame the companies for wanting to maximize profits. What I'm amazed at is the lack of diversity. Where are the different screen sizes? Where are the flagships with mem slot and headphone jack? Why are the phones becoming longer? I just watch tons of video and youtube is still 95% 16:9. I'd be an idiot to get a 21:9 phone for video. That's like less than 5% of what's out there. And no, full length movies is not a priority.
