Mobilemaster, 21 Sep 2022I love this design!Looks like a best flagship grade device of the year along with Mate 50 RS edition and Honor Magic 4 Ultimate.
Also the Mi 12S is pretty nice along with Motorola 30 edge ultra.

If this or the 10 pro looked something like the 8 pro, I would've bought it already. Guess I'll hold on to my 7 pro for another year and wait for a good looking oneplus phone.

I believe I've got another year before I have to get a new phone and we're still waiting for Android 12 and while you're at it go ahead and toss us a few security updates! I'm hoping Nothing will come out with more of a flagship in'23. I'll never buy a Sammy, Icrap, or Google phone. This does leave slim choices. I don't give a rats A about a headphone jack, expandable memory, camera bump, as case's usually stabilize the phone when It's on a table, what it looks like, to me most android phones look pretty much the same. If you want a Sony, buy one.

However, if they had a monopoly, its a guarantee that we'd have phones with headphone jack and microSD slot that fall into "flagship killer" category that Xiaomi, Realme, Oneplus etc are making as there will be a void in market which needs to be filled. (fortunately, Sony can be relied on this because they haven't released even one phone without headphone jack and microSD slot in years, quite opposite to others).
For consumers, absolute monopoly is better than this abundance of diversity and competition which undeniably causes these OEMs to "outprofit" each other at the expense of consumers and product improvement which is beneficial to them, so important things like headphone jack, microSD slot, bootloader unlockability, cost effective repairability, proximity sensors, removable battery, affordability and so on starts to disappear and gimmick such as multi bayer megapixels, 2mp macro camers, tws bundles, unnecessarily fast charging speeds etc starts to appear.
