i lost YouTube media controls on lock screen. earlier i thought I can't slide to go any part of video like galaxy device. but now i lost complete YouTube media control on lock screen. anyone can help, i tried few but nothing worked.

A couple of serious software bugs in the OS. I have had my 12 since early February, 2024. A month after owning it and figuring things out with it, there are a couple of settings that constantly reset to the opposite of what I want. Constantly. Like a few times each and every day. What settings?
1) In the "Home Screen and Lock Screen" is a setting called "Raise to wake". I want that on. Which means I want it on ALL THE TIME. But it resets to "off" constantly when I change my "Battery" ; "Power Saving Mode" back and forth. Changing this Power Saving Mode one way or the other, flips the "Raise to wake" back to off.
The "Raise to wake" will also go back to OFF on its own, if I update the OS, or Restart (i.e. Warm boot) the phone. Intermittently. For me, this is a critical bug because I call doctors and insurance companies and while speaking with them the screen will go dark after so many seconds and there is NO WAY to bring the screen back to life that I know of. So I found "Raise to wake" which can get me back to the phone call mode where I am in need of typing on the keypad to get to a different extension, or whatever. The bottom button on the right side of the phone hangs the phone up, which is worse.
Speaking of, when I do use Raise to wake, oftentimes the keypad is no longer visible when I am using the phone (i.e. speaking to somebody, or trying to). I am unable to bring the keypad to the foreground (back to life). I'm lost as to how to resurrect the keypad when talking on the phone or listening to an automated phone prompts from a company. Very irritating. They keypad icon just disappears.
I have attempted to contact OnePlus and for some reason I am unable to log in, and I'm not receiving the "Code" emails, so I am unable to contact tech support, nor post my frustration on their forums.
2) Same thing with the "Dial Pad sound". I want to hear the buttons when I am dialing a phone number, but again, the sound goes to OFF sporadically, more often than not, and I have no idea why. So I'm constantly going back into settings to turn the sound of the dial pad tone to ON.
Oneplus probably is not aware of these issues, and I'm unable to let them know. Here in St. Louis, MO.

After 6 months of using the device and since i am using it very quickly, i have used to always scroll two times in the home screen in order to perform one action each time. Lol. Really amateurs they cannot solve such a simple software bug.
By the way the freeze when switching apps instead of being resolved has become even worse with the latest software update.

You can even feel a 1-2 seconds delay/freeze every time you switch apps. Unacceptable for a flagship device. Unfortunately the software of this device is worse than a 200 hundred euro device and it is not recommended since the issues/bugs remain unsolved.

Bruh I have both the phones right now, the One Plus is much faster and wayyy smoother than the 14 plus. What rock you living under lol? One Plus 12 compared to the iPhone 15 series when it comes to performance and smoothness.

i absolutely love this phone
but one thing that keep bothering me is the size and weight are too big and heavy + thick
and its super slippery so using case is a must :( + added weight on already heavy phones
i haven't fully got comfortable holding it
phones never heat up during use
battery lasts forever

OP really stepped up their game with OP12. I bought this phone without much expectations but damn this has exceeded my expectations by a long margin. Except for the average camera, the overall ui and smoothness are almost as fast as an iPhone 14 plus. The display is by far the best. And yes! It's brightness and sharpness are better than the iphone 14 pro. Again the camera is the only disappointing thing.

On main camera it has both 60 and 30 fps at all 3 resolutions.
@8K , 24 fps only.

Does OnePlus really not have 60 FPS recording resolution for the front camera? I read several comments on the internet that the front camera can record upto 4k 60fps

Had both this phone and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and the OnePlus is better. Better battery life and screen. More realistic colours in the camera and more detail. Missing out on tele-macro but for the price difference it's not worth it. OnePlus will be my go to brand now.

oh, and its bootloader can be easily unlocked.
at least for the time being, hopefully Oppo doesn't screw it up.
