Hi. I know the 13 is out a while ago. I just got my OnePlus 12 delivered today Red Community Edition. I'm very excited to unbox it and setting it up. Even to do unboxing video and some opinion ones, etc... :)

i thought of buying the device, but then i found out there are plenty of reports of broken pixels on Oneplus 12. they look like dark blue spots near the screen edges. there are several topics on that on oneplus community site, as well as reddit.

i am curious how widespread is the problem?

Can anyone from you confirm that this (the 12 R)comes with a charger in the box withitn the EU? Thing is...if i have to buy a seperate charger that would set me back nearly 60 euros!!

Aristeidis, 19 Nov 2024Only 4 years of security support and worse only 3 years of ... moreI feel like that's more than enough these days. Most of the people change phones in that period, so I don't see that as a big deal. Also, there will probably be custom ROM's for this phone if you really, really need that new version of android. If you are crazy enough to pay double the price for S24 Ultra and have that gimmicky 7 years of support, then go for it. Your battery or whole phone will probably die sooner than that. I would rather spend that amount on something else.

Aristeidis, 19 Nov 2024Only 4 years of security support and worse only 3 years of ... moreIt's actually 4 years of android updates and 5 years of security updates.

Only 4 years of security support and worse only 3 years of Android updates. Oneplus 12 support is garbage 👎

Anonymous, 14 Nov 2024does it mean good to keep it between that range?Correct, since it's a more correct indicator of battery health.

My OnePlus 11, almost 2 yrs.old still has a battery health of 96%.

But as some commented, there won't be too many bloats as other brands; however, there are still some OEM/google craps.
The best way would be to flash a an AOSP ROM (as there is no OEM crap inside), with sacrifice of some convenience - though unfortunately, there aren't any official custom ROM for this device.
I think you should be safer sticking with factory reset.

                          2. Search around github. There seems to be some around.

It's the most "comfortable" level of charge for these kind of batteries. With oneplus and their fast charge it's super simple to do that. Of course don't be a slave to it if you need more juice then charge it to 100%
