Super Android 22, 17 Jan 2024This isnt a flagship? This is a mid ranger with last year... moreMy Find X3 Neo is still in great nick and I've bashed and dropped it so many times. Even down an escalator!
Ok so it's got the £50 Oppo Kevlar case and the free clear case that came in the box. Yes, I use two cases.
Only reason I'm here is due to end of update life. Nearly three years is decent, longest I've had a phone.
This 12R is my next though, and if it lasts I'll flash a ROM and see if it outlives me.
Good luck doing that with your locked bootloaders.
OnePlus ftw!

India ? no way , i prefer Cold and dry weather, as for US, Hell NO ! i've been there, and getting a bullet for no reason or worse your kids, in the school, that place has no future as long as they sell guns and rifles like hot dogs, Im good here with my 420EU Xiaomi POCOX6PRO that is flagship like performance (skipping the cameras), and its still cheaper than the idiotic 550$ oneplus12r in the US.

Not only are the phones expensive, with limited range of options, but even the carrier plans are atrocious. I remember way back in 2020, we used to get like 5GB/month of 4G data for like €25 in Ireland for Vodafone. That's a joke considering that in India you need to just get a monthly top up of like €5-€6 and you get 1.5 GB data/per day. If you compare the price of base variant of 12R, it's around €380 with cashback and accessories worth € 65-75 free. Even US seems to have a good price as per the chatter on Reddit, with trade-in bonuses etc

Full agree with 90% of opinions here...
You can choose at least from 10 others better options like this...
I really have no idea, what kind of marketing produce price on this in Europe around 700 eur...
I think, after one year, there will be some pcs of thisone around 450 eur max.
Even for price around 450-500 is possible to find better alternative...
OnePlus 12 - is real flagship, but at this moment, with price around 1000 eur (sometimes with buds, costs around 100eur), is also little bit higher price, but still more acceptable like 12R.
I am looking for new phone, after sold my Edge 30 Ultra, and maybe comeback to Huawei does not have to be bad choice.
Mate 50 PRO is here for around 640 eur.
Vivo X90 PRO is here up to 700 eur, and it destroys this 12R in almost every area, just chipset and display are slightly better on 12R - every next HW things are much beter on Vivo...

VikkiLong, 07 Feb 2024What makes you think this phone is a joke?Price, camera ,bad chipset implementation compare to other 8Gen2 Phones , 128GB in 2024? with a pathetic UFS 3.1 in 2024? IP65 really, but the real problem of this smartphone is the idiotic price for what it is. in my city its 759Eu and the POCOX6PRO is 420-450 EU.

Ravindra, 06 Feb 2024How much of a difference will the 8 gb (UFS 3.1) and 16 gb ... moreI guess it makes a difference, there was one reviewer who had got a score of 1.7 million Antutu on the 16 GB model. The read and write memory speeds contributed to higher scores. For longer term UFS 4.0 seems to be a better option. So if you are comfortable paying those Rs. 6999 extra bucks, go for 16 gigs model. My actual price was about 31-32k if you look at the benefits that I got along-with the phone (1 k bank discount on credit card, 6k worth of Z2 headphones free, Red Cable coupon worth Rs 2700, which I will use to purchase a screen protection/accidental plan). Also remember you need to buy a good case Spygen type and a UV glass protector for curved screen, so it all adds up to the final price

How much of a difference will the 8 gb (UFS 3.1) and 16 gb (UFS 4.0) make? I am not concerned about speed but about the long term prospects of the phone.

Upgraded from a One Plus 6, after bidding it goodbye after 5 yrs and 8 month's. First impression is the hi-res display is simply amazing, UI buttery smooth, and Snapdragon 2 really snappy. Main camera is really good, with nice details in daylight and low light conditions. I have more use for night time, as I like to do amateur astro-photography. Video quality seems adequate for daily use as I'm not a professional vlogger or content developer. I also don't game that much, but after getting an Antutu of about 1.5 million+, phone should be adequately equipped to play the latest tiltles. In addition to phone, fast charger, free case that came in the box, the local One plus store also gave a promotional z2 wireless headphones free, along with the device. Finally the 100W charging is superb, as it only took 15 min to go from 28-100.
