folks, don't just go by the specs to draw conclusions.
I have been using this phone for the past three days and here are my observations -
- buttery smooth
- battery backup is decent - 4hr 30 mins of SOT and it will last you a full day - usage is mainly voice calls, internet browsing over wifi and light media consumption on the youtube and spotify app. Standby time is also good. You lose 3-4 percent for 8hrs of standby.
- RAM usage with 10 apps open was around 47%. I did not notice any memory leakage issue.
- No noticeable software bugs - update your phone to the 3.1.2 update as soon as you set it up.
the only con i can think of is the metal build is too damn slippery. It is mandatory to have a good case.

Personally I would have preferred a 4GB/128GB version rather than 6GB/64GB version for the same price. According to Oneplus themselves, they are doing aggressive RAM management for optimum battery life, so that 6GB is never gonna be used properly!
Also, though the battery life is decent and Quick/Dash Charging is all well and good..... but there is a certain peace of mind that comes with a large battery. I agree with other posters here when they say that it should have had 3500mAH+ battery.
These two changes would have made it a perfect 10/10 phone for me. It is still an excellent phone though and arguably the best on this side of the $500 mark (though Zuk Z2 Pro may have a word or two to say about that).

It's battery is good. On par with galaxy s7. But in high intensive task it out perform s7 due to lower resolution screen like gaming.

The battery is certainly a bummer , I mean even less than OPO ? .. cmon :(
I could have settled for a slightly bigger phone but larger battery
There are severe RAM management issues, which are still existing even after a Oxygen OS patch release
so that takes out the 6gigs RAM boasts
Oxygen OS sucks anyways when compared to the awesome CM13
Premium looks.. sure, but the sandstone look was unique as compared to every other phone emulating the iphone look, though the sandstone cover will take care of that
No ext slot is certainly not a deal breaker as 64gigs for a phone is enough
No flagship killer by any stretch but still a good phone for this price !

I m using this phone from 2 days. It's the best phone I have got. I have used galaxy s6 , iPhone 6s plus. But not satisfied with both. Good display, great camera upto there with iPhone and galaxy, great performance like iPhone, great software,great customisation. Overall great device under 30k. It's got hot but only warm which iPhone also got. But there is no throttling. Great performance . My iPhone 6s plus also throttled due to heat but this phone does not throttle. If you want great performance with great camera get this one. It is really very good phone.

I was really excited and thought I found my next phone when the page read 3650mAh, unfortunately it ended up only being 3000mAh. I agree with MKBHD, instead of a camera bump I would prefer they fill the rest of the phone with battery. I guess I'll be waiting to see if another phone later in the year ends up having a bigger battery.
