Full HD or ultra HD doesn;t make much of a difference on a smartphone for the human eye. Not to mentioon the battery drain, ultra hd display eats up alot of battery. I have LG G3 witch ultra hd resolution and i wish it was just full hd...

You don't need the extra pixels as they don't make any difference to your eyes. More pixels also drains your battery faster. Ultra high resolution screens on mobile devices are practically quite useless.

Wow, the top comment gave me cancer. Not only is the diff b/w the 801 and 820 HUGE, but not to buy a phone due to the lack of 1440p display shows how dumb people can be. The reason not to buy it would be the inclusion of the 1440p screen which only drains battery more, reduces performance slighty,c osts more, and offers no visible improvement at this size.

Haters: "OMG Oneplus 3 doesn't have Quad-HD, has too little wam, omg 5.5" screen, no removable battery omg omg, snap dragon 820 why not the 823, Android nutella already(even when it hasn't came out) omgomg, phone glitch because I have too much stuff on it omg oneplus fix this please, MORE WINING AND COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SMALLEST THINGS."
Real Oneplus fans: "the oneplus 3 doesn't need Quad-HD to be a good looking screen and also it has better battery life. Oneplus has had the 5.5" screen since the One why complain about it? Removable battery has been dead for awhile now(not including G5), SD 820 is already good enough.
Seriously, you people really get on my nerves. Its a perfect phone for its price, what do you expect from it? 2025 SnapDragon CPU+GPU???

The human eye can't see the pixels pass 1080p so it's all pretty much the same. But the SoC upgrade isn't much. My LG G2 has a 801 and still runs like a champ so not a significant upgrade. But still over all a great phone, don't critique with put the phone even being out.

Lack of 1440p resolution means better battery time, and Oneplus has always given a good battery. Snapdragon 420 is fast, and the memory specs are wrong, it goes 32GB, 64GB, and then 128GB

Would have bought it if it was 1440p screen.
The upgrade from a 801 to 820 is very minimal and not to mention screen and storage being the same 3 years ago.

mithun, 05 Jun 2016no fast charging.... USB-C is generally plenty fast. Not lightening fast but at the quality and lower prices for OnePlus series phones, its a minor compromise.
