No longer a flagship killer phone. Quite pricey, no water/splash resistant, and no QHD resolution. I rather choose 3T or Mi6.

First they eliminate removable batteries in Android smartphones, now the trend of removing micro SDCard slot is high and worrying.

In Canaduh (All in CA$ - $1US ~1.33CA$) the price of the 128GB is $719CA. Probably good value esp with the nice size. However, what was a huge bonus last year IMO was the extra warranty they offered online - OP3T was $25CA for a basic extra warranty only (2yrs) v. $120CA for the loss/accidental.
With the OP5 - a single $185 option. How do they justify that? Apple is $169CA and yet I can walk into an Apple store anywhere. OP5? Mail only and no human and I have read about OP CSR problems (even if it is a 3rd party warranty). And no, unlike my friend who forgot where his old flip Samsung went years ago only to find it was 3 inches under the water in the hammock, I am less concerned with MY goofs. Most stuff today is crap (generalized comment) - and the only way around that is an extended warranty to cover THEIR goofs. I felt the $25 option ($50 would have been fine this year) was perfect. I would really have to think about this now. I am not interested in a contract with the cell company - but at least they offered for $8/mth some protection which I could drop after a period of time.
These non-flagship phones are inching the pricing higher and higher. I am sure some new player will come out with equally great specs at $200 cheaper - thus driving another round of lower priced solid phones. But not today.
We will see how these perform and I will see if this becomes Neo or I need to move along. Unfortunately, we (someone point me?) have very little unlocked phones sold in Canada with Canadian warranties (/offering extended warranties) Apple and Samsung (I think at their store) aside. Many unlocked are "refurb" junk (someone else's problems never figured out) or "at your own risk - may not work with your provider" etc. Costco sells some - and I keep looking for new offerings - nothing has turned my crank - and they offer no extra warranty surprisingly (their tablets do). I looked at the Xiaomi Mi 6 - no extra warranty and I wonder about the site - think it is US based.

AnonD-7829, 20 Jun 2017They did show many of the different prototypes made for One... moreOk,not only because it's cheaper (and it is cheaper to copy). When a company comes up with a new original design (and you need to spend money to come up with a design) it also takes a lot of risks (will the design catch on with the target market,is the design flawed from a hardware perspective and so on).A new design involves the risk of loosing.
OnePlus decided to not take any risk, went and did what all Chinese manufacturers do and made a iPhone copycat.Again easier to do and at fraction of the cost in terms of design.
Don't get the reason for the high price though, other than making more profit of course.

Oops . Now i saw that it has no OIS , no waterproof , no sd card , no ir blaster , no wireless charging , no qualcomm quick charge support (so all of my chargers and external batteries will not charge it fast). So why spending 500 euros ? Is this a joke or what ?

I would not recommend anyone buying this, I have seen the durability test on YouTube and the phone has cheap matte cover and can be easily scratched with razor blade and knife, only if it was made of glass body I would have bought the oneplus 5, it should have looked more like Xperia XZ premium glass body design instead of an iPhone 7s

500 euro and no ip rating, no qhd display for vr. it's getting more and more expensive each year. next year it will start competing against samsung. it's really lost the flavor for which people used to admire it.

Something is not all right. Gsmarena, you say this one has a length of 154 mm(with screen to body ratio of 73 %), the ZTE Axon 7s has a length of 151 mm, yet it has almost the same screen to body ratio. Please check these informations, and correct it.
