I think Oneplus 5 is aimed for iPhone users who want's to installed Custom ROMs like lineage OS like they couldn't with their iPhones. Oneplus should give credit to Apple once they release this phone.

With the FHD screen, and all these bezels and that iphone-like rear and nothing special about it, it seems to me disappointing

As GSMArena have said, this is a step back for Oneplus, nothing spectacular, and more of a copy to the Oppo R11 considering they're owned by the same umbrella corp, i've said from the start, i personally would only buy it with a QHD screen as i want something that i can use for VR as i enjoy that, and something future proofed for the next couple of year, also memory is an issue, and i dont want a phone thinner than the 3, if it means no realy increase on the battery or memory. The camera will be great from what we've seen, but this isnt enough to stick with Oneplus now, i liked having something that no one else around me had, with a somewhat unique design.

I'm pretty sure that OP had Asia(China & India are the largest markets) in mind with this model.
