I bought two so called fabulous OnePlus A5000...my first smartphones as I've used a Tracphone flip for 10 years. My problem is the carriers here in Virginia USA have never seenor heard of a OnePlus 5 and it's not in their so called system. Verizon or U.S. Cellularwho have the largest coverage in my country. Sadly I must return my 2 OP5's because GSM phone doesn't run on their CDMA system in my area. So I'm checking out the other carrier on GSM system AT&T and they don't know about this OP5 phone either, not in their IMEI numbers. Hope I'll get my $997 money returned on my credit card. A Email from OnePLUs gives me directions on how to return phones...I pay the return shipping and pay for any damages to the 2 phones....none accept I wrote our names on the boxes....damage to red boxes and the 2 covers for the phones $19.99 each of course I opened...damage...I just can't get a carrier that will make these phones sim work. SAD

S7 and S8 are just useless pieces of crap and you either are clumsy or blind to see it.
Xiaomi Mi6 isnt bad for 400 eur but OP5 offers +2gb ram and bigger screen.
And yes there are couple of apps which can replace OIS.
I am not incredibly lame and these water accidents are not often. If people are not very clumsy they have no use of IP68. Accidentaly stranded in rain? Everybody can see the clouds and feel when the raining begining so they can hide their phone from rain in time.
Accidents when people frop their phone in water yes drunk people loose it often.
Only reason why S7 and S8 are best selling phones is that the Samsung is company which have stores in every corner around this god damn globe like Apple. And due of that and a lot of high expenses they cant sell cheap. Unless that OP5 could be even more selling phone. But not everybody know Oneplus brand. Oh man and saying this is a Midranger LOL you are funny. 835 a midranger from which corner of galaxy you are :-)
Remember samsung is just a lot expensive company which mass produce everything so the put quantity before quality like apple. I rather buy OP5 or Mi6 from Xiaomi for much less than have this expensive garbage which offers nothing extra apart some useless things.
People are clumsy anyway their phone will last like 2 years and when they warranty is gone phone immediately stops working properly. Thats typical. Companies like to sell as often as possible.
For example in past had shes which could last 20 years and still was as good as new. In present era after 2 years they are good for replacement. Phone is same.
But people like you probbably never understand and i dont care. Who i am I to judge you. Its your money and how you spend them i dont care. Feel free to support Samsung. Note 7 was just beginning soon more divices will follow :-).

But I wouldn't buy it because it's a brand without reliability or service or anything because nobody knows it. I'd rather buy an old used Xperia flagship, because this also includes the thing I always say "an old flagship is always better than a new mid range/low end (because back in the day, the companies put all their efforts and quality into the device to make it their best device and show off while with the new mid ranges, they don't really care about such things)". For example, the Xperia Z3 (and Compact) has IP 68, old high end specs, brand, great design, quality materials and built and only costs € 279 new (according to price comparison) or € 115 used (according to bidvoy). If you look at the Z1 (Compact), it has IP 58 which only means less dust resistance, but also has all the listed things from Z3. It is not much cheaper new because it's been a while since it has been produced, but used it only costs € 70.

... moreOh well you're telling me that there are apps that can do the job of OIS. Just stop lying. The phone isn't a "beast" in any word. It's just a rip-off. Xiaomi Mi 6 has everything a flagship requires (SD835 with 6 gigs of ram and 128gb storage/OIS/REAL 2x optic zoom/Splash resistance and so on) and it's 100€ cheaper than OP5. And actually people take their phones to the beach, people accidentally drop their phones in water, people might get caught stranded under rain. You're just incredibly lame and misleading people. The S7 Edge and it's S8 siblings are among the best selling phones so far worldwide, and the dual curved screen is pretty much popular and loved by the majority. Again, it's our money we're spending and we rather have everything for less, and clearly your "beast" lacks many things. Hell, even the Note 7 FE is for 600€ and it's basically better at everything except the slightly outdated chipset.
You're either an extreme fanboy or getting paid for this to be this blind .. just stop lying to people, it's just a mid ranger with a SD835 :)
