Design is really bad as i said before but some people never understands and always talke the same.
Curved screen is awesome for breaking the phone really fast then enjoy a 400 eur bill for repairs.
And IP68 unless you live in a rain forest is useless.
If you dont came home drunk and accidentally flush your phone into toilet during vomiting you literary dont need IP68 thus water resistance. So all this is just waste of money and good business for a greed Samsung Company. Any other man on the earth will agree with me but you looks like you are something special. Please ignore me and waste your money as you like and feed Samsung with your money they will really appreciate it. I will rather have a flagship killer for 500 than an ugly curved phone with no bezels and easily to break screen from a greedy company like Samsung which cost 300-400 extra which is waste of money.
I rather support charity for extra 400 than pay this for a phone with some useless add-ons.

"Only, once the iPhone is out, the OnePlus 5 loses yet some more ground. The S8 is a little more expensive but isn't it worth it, all things considered? There's no portrait mode on the S8, that's for sure. But there are all those important bits we listed a couple of paragraphs earlier." They too concluded that S8's screen, camera, design, and IP68 are worth the extra investment.

Anyway phone with no bezels its like car with no bumper and thats tottaly ugly, so design of S8 is really bad.
Camera in OP5 is as good as S8 have a can confirm that.
And theres nothing bad in screen with this phone.
S8 is just waste of money.
Literary most of the population have no use for phone like S8 is. Reason is very simple most people use their phones just for calling messages making a photos or videos playing games and receiving and sending email. Just less than a 1% of S8 users needs this phone for work instead of notebook or any other PC. Rest use it as a jewelry to look good when walking on streets with phone like that.
But as i said above. Phone with no bezels is like car with no bumpers and thats ugly. Phone looks really bad and the screen is easily broken when it drops even from a small heights. Which is a big disadvantage. Only thing that S8 cost 800 and 900 eur for a plu version is eye sensor which makes a good protection to your phone. But thats a waste of money.
Like 4K screen on 5 inch sony phones. Human eye is unable to spod differences between full hd and 4k on such a small screen.
So grats Samsung you make a phone which is useless instead OP5 is a real champion on phone market. Because phone doesnt need to cost 800+ eur to be perfect in every aspect.

You may be living under a rock, but water resistance and headphone jack co existed from the very beginning when Sony introduced water resistant phones. And even now Sony XZP and Samsung S7/8 all have water and dust resistance along with the headphone jack.

after watching the tear-down of oneplus 5 , i love the build of this phone except lack memory card slot. changing damage usb port and audio jack port was easy than other phone.

Beside this problem, Indian users have confirmed of scrolling web pages and twitter getting jelled up ie some sort of jelly effect. Company has stated that they are aware of this problem but not offered any solution so far. Some users also reported sudden drop in battery back up performance which is weird. OP 5 has started on a wrong note which was not the case with its previous models of 3 and 3t. Hoping all these problems are sorted out in OP 5t which should be rolled out soon.

I am a user of OP3T and I am more than satisfied with mine. My dream OP phone should be like OP3T. Stick to it's design. Put the most powerful yet energy safer chip. 8GB RAM is more than enough. Increase battery capacity even if it make phone some mm thicker. Increase memory. Add IR blaster to play around with remote control. Apply something in the screen to avoid fingerprints, smears and smudge. Make it anti dust and water proof a little bit. For camera, focus on how to capture moments in the dark. That's my phone...

Just bought one today from Amazon.....6gb version and my God the phone is like he'll...... blazing fast....suoerb camera and premium design looks. This is 1st time I have got an One Plus phone. Can anyone tell me about the music player for it coz it does not have an in built music player.....About the phone performance, it's really blazing fast and UI is smooth also....go for it....worth a buy......Cheers !!!

Various reviews give it a negative on the camera.
They went cheap this time, skipped the optical image stabilization (HARDWARE) and went with a faster lens, faster ISO/shutter speed to hopefully make the images sharper (plus software tricks you can bet). The problem is, NOTHING can be a hardware OIS.
And, if you like to take video, there will be "the shakes".
Check out their own website comments boards. As with any Oppo phone, they are having a BUNCH of software problems.
If you really want one of these, and can wait, give yourself at least a month for them to patch some of the bugs. The first couple of batches of anything that Oppo makes for OnePlus is usually full of headaches.
