The Snapdragon 820 and 835 are powerful enough to push 2k resolution with ease... There is always a significant increase in the power figures of the CPU, what for? So that it can play asphalt 8 with even ease? No, because it could support things better, because it could handle higher resolutions with ease... As of now, even the Snapdragon 625 could play any game thrown at it with ease and now the SD 636 ( I guess) is going to launch which has 70% more power than the 625... The top of the line chipsets are meant to deal with higher resolutions, oneplus is just playing safe side by not launching a phone with a 2k display

Did anyone who buy this phone find any inconvenience in daily life on the lack of barometer? I am somewhat confused between Oneplus 5T and Mi Mix2. Both are good mobile but Mix2 is with barometer.....

Resolution is one of the major factors when pushed by the CPU and GPU.
The reason why our new phones don't heat up it's because of the high performance GPU they're carrying and the adreno 540 is the strongest of them all.
The higher resolution your phone has the higher the consumption of battery and GPU power.
The CPU simply renders the textures, parallax, and all the code, while the GPU is responsable for the images throwed at your screen.

Anonymous, 03 Feb 20185t for sure check the specsit's what, a 15% increase in performance? While the LG G6 has much superior camera, water resistancy, HDR screen compatibilities, Always on display, Micro-sd slot.
Don't get me wrong, i love the oneplus 5T and i own the 5T but i find the LG G6 superior in almost every aspect.

OPPO One plus and Vivo are one and same owned by one company! All have their own OS as Oxygen, just because they have to pay Google for android than tweak its OS into their own OS. Cost effective, but Chinese without International manufacturers are lagging behind, than Samsung HTC, Sony, Nokia. Who use same OREO ditto than tweaked copies!
