One of the best, most powerful, most well supported phones for running and developing the mobile Linux ecosystem. I have two, one 64GB running Android as my daily driver and another 128GB running postmarketOS as my pocket development system. Once mobile Linux solves a few more issues related to call stability and camera quality, it might be fully daily driveable. Amazing how well this older device still holds up in 2025. The 6 has the added benefit of having a headphone jack over the 6T.

Bought my OnePlus 6 February 2019 and used it till today. It's one of the best phones I ever had. Never had any issues, was just running flawless. The screen is still pristine condition using always a glass protector and a soft case. Even several drops on concrete did no cause any damages. All switches are working perfectly fine. Only the battery life is now probably at around 50% which is quiet normal after more than 5 years. Have now upgraded to 12R - Oxygen is the best OS for Android phones... I guess I would never endure the boring OSes like Samsung and Google.

One plus 6 bought on October 2018, replaced screen combo in 2021 because of my mistake. I'm still using one plus 6 in 2024. Real flagship phone from one plus.

for online watching video the battery back up is below 1 to 2 hours. Compare with other phones net access is very poor. All keys are damaged.

My oneplus 6 is automtically keeps on stopping to detect sim and keeps restarting on its own. can someone guide me whats the problem.

I bought this phone as second hand in 2023 i used 8/128 version. the phone working is fine i playinging efootball and pubg some time phone is over heat other wise not a problem main problem is battery life battery life is not good

I bought this phone as imported from foreign country. But after 5 years the phone is still in good condition. I used this phone as my daily driver. This is a 8/128 variant. One thing i don't like is the battery. I charges this phone 3-4 times in a day. This phone give continuous backup of 3-4 hours .Overall The Phone is a flagship Killer ..

After 6 years of heavy use, my OnePlus 6 mobile died suddenly. I have given that mobile for repairing. Let's see if it's come alive again.

Using OnePlus 6 since 2018 with very good experience. Battery life has been severely degraded but performance is like that of new.
But, recently my selfie camera has stopped working and any app, that uses Camera, crashes suddenly. Mobile repairing center said, it is problem in CPU. Anyone has same issue like this? Please share your solution if you had faced similar problem.

fred, 29 Mar 2024After almost 6 years of usage the battery of the phone is s... moreIt turned out that the reason of "battery degradatjon" was using non-orgi al charger, in this case the charger from my HP laptop. After switching back to Oneplus orginal charger the battery fixed itself and blank ranges of it disappeared.
By the way I hope Oneplus will introduce 7 years support for its smartphones. It's very important. Argument that nobody keeps them smartphone that long sucks. Even if true there are second owners and they should enjoy the best experiance including security possible. It's also "green" as we should use things as long as they are able to serve the purpose well.

It's time for a new one. It's a pity that oneplus offers only 5 years of support. It's definietly not long enough. Might be a deal breaker, especially fur such huge price of new ones.
