If i were looking to upgrade at to this OnePlus generation it's immediately been postponed due to the camera cutout (notch). They really ought to come up with a better solution than this, however it appears OnePlus don't have much say in the design which is based on the R15.

I see notch, I downvote into oblivion.
Will stay with my OP5 as long as it needs to get rid of notch and the hideous 18:9 screens.

If OnePlus (a company whose software/OS is practically created by the I.T. Mobile community and their fans) sees how terrible the reception is for this BS design, they can change it later to suit those that want a...more unique design. lol. While Android P is going to support this, it's not like Android 8.1 or later updates will make non-notch OS go away so it's definitely possible for OnePlus to see how much of a train-wreck going by this design would be.

After installing Open Camera from Mark Harman, the camera's capabilities are SO much better. It's just OnePlus's software that needs help but at least devs have made camera apps that push the phone's camera capabilities.
There's also the app: Camera2api - something that checks your phone to see if the brand disabled the better features of the included camera.
