Dale14, 01 May 2019I'm choosing between oneplus 6, Samsung galaxy s9 and Huawe... moreOnePlus 6 for sure, because both Sams and Huaw are laggy with awful performance compared fo ultra-supreme performance on OP6:there is no screen flickering,it was an issue with some version on Pie update(and thats what u found searching)but its fixed with later updates.

Shachihoko, 03 May 2019I would suggest mi 9Thanks for the recommendation however, I need the headphone jack. If only the high end phones of Xiaomi have headphone jack it would surely be my choice.

The s9+ is out of my budget though but still, thanks for the recommendation. I'm thinking of getting the oneplus 6 after what you've just said. I've seen YouTube videos of screen flickering as well as people who posted on forums regarding that issue. Maybe a hardware defect of some sort. How's the battery life of the oneplus 6?

Dale14, 01 May 2019I'm choosing between oneplus 6, Samsung galaxy s9 and Huawe... moreThe screen burn in is an issue for all three phones you listed altough honestly it is more of an non-issue. Sure some burn in will happen a year or two from now on, but it's not as bad as it's used to be and is hardly noticeable anyway. Screen flickering being an issue is the first time I'm hearing of it: countless reviews haven't noted that either and I had the OP6 for almost a year and never experienced that.
Consider that the S9 is significantly smaller than either Mate 20 and OnePlus 6. The anwser is pretty straightforward: if you care about camera, get the Mate 20 if you don't mind EMUI and an LCD screen. If you want a good all around package, get the S9 if you don't mind smaller but higher res screen. OnePlus 6 is also a good all around package but you miss stuff like wireless charging and IP rating.
Personally, I'd get the OnePlus 6 since the S9 is just too small. I'd take the S9+ over the OnePlus 6, though. But if you're looking for a smaller phone in the first place, get the S9 instead. Mate 20 consider if you really into mobile photography but the S9/OP6 are not far behind, install gcam and you get basically just as good photos. The problem with Mate 20 is you have to suffer through EMUI and LCD screen but it's a fine device otherwise.

I'm choosing between oneplus 6, Samsung galaxy s9 and Huawei mate 20. They are only like 50 dollars apart with the oneplus 6 having a price of 480 dollars. I'm worried about the screen burn in / screen flickering issues of the oneplus 6.

Have purchased the phone last year it's yet in warranty. It's a request to everyone not to purchase one plus phones as they state they will help but have called them 8 times went to the store and always one thing will get back. The phones CAST does not work. Most useless services getting provided.
