OnePlus now just needs to work on battery capacity for the next phone, to match Gionee. 5000mAh should be the target. Other specs on OnePlus 6 are top notch for me.

Its the best perfoming phone on the market, very fast and very smooth(so fluid)- supreb optimised software and hardware- something that other brands dont have and they should learn it from One Plus.Everything, not just the software- hardware thing, but even ram menager is well optimised,no heating etc- everything that will provide u amazing, wonderful performance- blazing fast and blazing fluid! U ll get nice oled screen, good camera and nice battery life.Even the factiry reset is done wise since the phone doesnt have sd card- u can chose not to erase your data(photos, videos, music, etc) when u perform factory reset or u can chose to erase everything- i ve already tested(rhere was no need for reset but i wanted to know if its really working)- so i picked the oprion not to delate my files and then i ve press the factory reset- its working! All my filrs were there after factory was done!

Anonymous, 22 Aug 2018Well, if you buy a phone from a small Chinese company, you ... moreThe problem mentioned are much of the compatibility issue, more on the software side rather than on hardware, and those issue happen on Samsung S9+ as well, not exclusively on Oneplus 6.
These thing happen as there are so much WiFi gear, Bluetooth device, Telco Carrier with different LTE band, and mostly got to troubleshoot with different brand of smartphone and different Android version only to find out.
To my surprise, some of the issue are of Android version itself, newer not exactly means better, and there are bugs inside these Android OS, particular on the compatibility issue.
Here is the thing, for WiFi, there are much on how the OS and skin manage the WiFI connection, some implementation due to power saving, or over refresh detection, it can disconnect the current WiFi connection without any notice. The router itself sometime also has some kind of compatible issue, where it doesn't work well with certain brand of WiFi chip on smartphone.
For Bluetooth, there is compatibility issue between the older Bluetooth standard and new Bluetooth standard. I have many Bluetooth gears as well, some just don't want to connect properly with the newer phone with newer Android OS, but connect perfectly fine on older smartphone with older Android OS.
Then, carrier related issue with call drop, and signal, it can be carrier issue as well. Coverage and signal strength, and also bandwidth throttling also play huge role here, and it won't solely be the phone issue.
All these mostly come down to the standardization issue.
Yes, I agree, the quickest solution would be changing for a new phone or other brand smartphone that works right out of the box rather than hoping for software fix, not necessary means getting Samsung S9+ will have the issue solve.

Anonymous, 15 Aug 2018switch to Nokia 7 Plus a all rounder phone i have it awesom... moreNokia is making good cover back.
Been eyeing out for the 8 or 9 with better design /bezelless.
But, they also have the lower end - the 1, 2, 3 models
Considerate to cater various needs (market)
Then, realised that their prices are tooooo high
Across all range : low, mid & high
They're many other options at their prices but with much better specs.
I think people who buy Nokia are mostly die hard fans.
They buy the brand they love, with less concern on the specs.
After all, most of mid range phones are good enough phones for everyday use.
N8 has great specs
But I'd go with OP6 - better design, possibly better specs and most definitely better price

I backed away from OP6 due to the Notch and thought the price is no longer competitive,
then,
got excited recently at the anticipated OP6T with a Dot-ch instead, I thought it's not too bad
BUT, now very concerned after finding these when searched for OP6 problems.
This is a copy & paste from a reputable reviewer dated on 6th August 2018 : (Some and/or many users were mentioned - not all users)
IF OP can fix them - I will get the next OP !
Auto brightness — not working as expected,
sometimes flickers
Notifications — don’t show up,
or are automatically removed after a while.
Samsung Pay — doesn’t work on the Gear S3 when connected to the phone
Call drops – This doesn’t seem to be limited to a particular region or network carrier either
— it’s happening across the globe.
Missed calls – Users are getting missed call or voicemail alert notifications but the phone doesn’t ring before that. The phone isn’t set to silent or do not disturb mode.
Calls continue after hanging up – Some users have found they can still hear the person at the other end of the line after hanging up. The only way to fully end the call is to restart the device. This is one of the biggest OnePlus 6 problems for users that have come across it and should be addressed by OnePlus immediately
Cannot be heard during calls – the person at the other end of the line isn’t able to hear,
or are unable to hear the other person.
Connectivity issues —
Wi-Fi Issues,
Bluetooth Issues
No data connectivity – Users are seeing a full signal on the phone, but the data connection doesn’t seem to work. Many users find this problem occurs numerous times a day.
Status bar — battery percentage - not available,
— three overflow status bar dots
Double tap to wake issue – doesn’t work as expected, requiring multiple taps before the device responds. Particularly if the phone has been idle for a while.
Selfie portrait mode – OnePlus has confirmed a portrait mode with the front-facing camera is in the works, to be available in a future update.
Display/UI overlap – parts of the display are cut out, making key areas of apps inaccessible.
Camera issues – autofocus issue,
— Panorama mode doesn’t work very well
— and the scene is extremely dark when trying to capture slow motion video
