If you want a smaller phone - there're always Mini, Lite, SE etc. models. Just pick one.
And no.. there's no sense putting high end hardware into those mini phones.

It's wider = more struggle to hold - than today's 6.2" phone because it's slimmer.
The body ratio is 18:9 / 19:9
meaning 6.2" diagonal length is only 17cm
Whereas 5.5" on 16:9 body ratio is 16cm
Huge difference huh..
Some make the bigger size version called Pro or Plus
One Plus = bigger size version = stay away from anything with a Pro or Plus
OP is just not for you

Why no SD card slot!?
I know its slower to use and the internal storage is 256GB, but i want flexability and to be able to backup my film and music on removable media, without the need to use a dongle. I have bricked a phone more than once and have been glad that the SD card has a copy of my data because i would not have been able to get it off otherwise (Bricked = USB not working, no OS, no bluetooth / wifi / internet, No nothing).
