Moto already knew from rumours that Apple was going to ditch the headphone jack, so they wanted to be the first ones the ditch it before Apple does.
Don't know what they gain from being the first ones. Probably just gives them first hand to capitalize.

oneplus in the upcoming oneplus 8 series will be equipped with wireless charging, which includes its brothers (realme oppo vivo), but I can't wait any longer, The McLaren version makes me breathtaking, im preordered it a week ago

so when 8 comes.. this one is a heavy brick, without SD card, without Qi, without jack.. i am forgetting this brand slowly.. sold my 6T in favor of S10 and Mi9. In future, i am willing to sacrifice only 1 of 3 holy features (SD, Qi, jack) and will never accept heavy phones.

I literally don't see any difference between this one and 7 PRO, other than the extra 85Mhz batter added. Is it just me or this one's worthless?

Rakib420, 13 Oct 2019Oneplus need to add 3.5mm jack & IP68 feature to their ... moreWhy they need IP rating.. Its rubbish. They chose not to to keep cost down. "IP certification cost money" As long as it is waterproof i will take their word for it. Tons of videos on Youtube with waterproofing test.
The 3.5mm jack removal is still a conundrum to me. If the phone is to thin, fine, but if it is all about space? rubbish from manufacturers. Components gets smaller each year.
If i can put a headphones with USB-C into the charging port and get sound, then it is cool enough for me.
Most likely i will ditch cable soon. Have loved it so far, but now its time to move on into technology land. Adapt or die..

Its makes a huge difference!
with 3.5mm jack its 100% successful connectivity all the time guaranteed
where earbuds may not connect & you have to baby sit earbuds for charging and from dropping and loosing it! , and wired earphones aren't dependent on you thatmuch!
cloud storage ARE NOT FREE specially when it comes to storing raw images! some don't even support that! while MOBILE PHONES are going 48mp triple cameras and 4k video support which will be 8k soon (perhaps with 1tb storagei internal) but in %age space occupied will be the same, you will have limited frabric of free space to enjoy!
where if you have sdcard slot! you can just keep replacing it and storing data and accessing data FREE! where lets argument sake you get free storage somewhere but accessing downloading stored file will cost you your planned 4g data!
i am always gonna buy phone having all the bells! even if i have to make compromise on high end processor and or screen size/type!

Theres no point of buying a smartphone, expecting a 3.5mm jack, memory slot. Then why the BT5, and free cloud services are there (Microsoft, Google etc)?

Those who can't accept buying a smartphone without memory expansion slot, no 3.5mm jack, no radio, IP68 rating, and any other shortcoming, please buy other smartphone.
I am the one who really want all these features in my daily life. Maybe Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, or last year Note 9 are the only pick. Or, I would turn to midrange smartphone that still offer these feature.
