i splash some water in front speaker on the op 8 and after 10 days speaker works perfeclty is there some water resistant coating is on the speakers grills?

OEMs don't just push new updates but downgrades slowly kill your phone in the pretence of updates which are actually downgrades to force you to buy their newly released phones. They'll entice you with all the new graphics & animations, canvas & wallpapers to make you fall for their downgrades. Don't update the OS your phone came with.

How is battery life with pixel experience rom on this phone? Or should I remain on Android 10 with Oxygen OS 10.5? I don't trust OEM updates like Oxygen 11 due to planned obsolescence.

For anyone considering the oneplus 8t in India may as well go with the oneplus 9R as its basically the same phone but with snapdragons 870 which is an overclocked 865. It may well get one more update than the 8t with it being newer too. Performance difference between the two devices is minimal so pick whichever one is cheaper. That said the charger on the 9R is inferior to the 8T on other devices so be warned if you plan on using a 9R warp charger on other devices.. Its explained better in the review but if you only plan on using it with 9R then there's no need to worry as it has 65w warp charge.

Anonymous, 03 Apr 2021I saw in a 8 Pro review that it was fixed after update. Not... morejust tested my oneplus 8 for this, can confirm there is no greyish blacks, it does an outstanding job keeping solid blacks but not on s7 edge level (better ppi)

Does the 8 have the notorious "grayish HDR blacks in complete dark surroundings" issue.. 7t , 8t as well as 9 series suffer from it

Ive decide to get 7 Pro because it has better camera setup (Telephoto and macro). plus no punch hole in the screen. I know the SoC is below the SD865 but I am not a gamer, so I think it suites for me properly, also the price is too good as 379 euros
