And those same bunch of people may be thrilled about the rating, but what they won't be thrilled about is the price when they see it. Good grief what a bunch of halfwits.

My god they've even gone with IP certification?!?!?! WHY!?!? They're making all the wrong choices. They made it clear that they themselves even knew that IP ratings were useless so why?????

This thing better be cheap as all hell because so far it's looking worse than even the cheap Mi 10, with the only better thing being the display. But even the display is a downgrade from the OnePlus 7 Pro.

i hope this has a descent camera, since this is going to be IP68 looks like i will buy this one instead of stupid $1400 "flagships" which i don't think they are as flagship as they claim and they pretend to charge us for

AndroidHead, 30 Mar 2020Really? A hole in the screen? Goodbye OnePlus 8 series... ... moreChange your name to Bonehead. Punch holes are the latest trend. If you can't keep up, go back to 2014 phones.
Besides, it they have a year drop notch, it's still a punchout in the screen, or a iPhone top gouge still a punch out. Your removing screen for camera and sensors.
If you use a pop up camera, your phone has limited life span.

Really? A hole in the screen?
Goodbye OnePlus 8 series... hope 8T series remove the bullet holes from the screen.

It is going to be an awesome smart phone! It is going to be finally IP68 resistant, which is a first if I am not wrong. Also 120 HZ display is a very good idea.
I hope the rumors are true about that mint kinda color. :)

please try to all the SD865 features on OP 8 and OP 8pro.

With so many phones released till today, I bet OP8 pro will be DOA by the time it releases. They offer nothing new which the competition has already done. I bet they'll sell very few units this year. 8+ too won't do well at the end of the year, even if it does come.

The display is pre-broken straight outta the factory. Gotta love 2020. Ugh. I see innovation died in 2019.

No innovation. Upgraded specs in million time seen design.
Regular 8 even worse, a 7T with latest soc and curved screen.
They should stop release phones every 6 months and bring something new. And top render photos instead of stacking more and more cams. Nothing special in this brand anymore.
