I own the OnePlus 7 Pro. The lack of eye in the screen makes it so nice to look at. Selfies are stupid. The pop up camera is stable, but I never use it. After reading the starting prices for the OnePlus 8 variations, there is no way I'd buy one. Unfortunately OnePlus 7 Pro sold out. I'd suggest that phone over any 8 version coming out. The 8 is so overpriced, it no longer gives OnePlus any advantage over Apple or Samsung for what we seek as a flagship killer. OnePlus lost its way.

From picking up 4G LTE to 5G high speed cellular data to transfer speeds with pc's. 855 platform is ideal in every way for years go come. I don't see a need for 5G because it's basically an intentional misconception and distraction put out by the carriers. 5G is not a speed. It's a generic term used by each carrier offering their own version of high speed. Which the further away you are from the cell tower or cell antennae in the inner cities, the less speed you get. Tests by consumers with 5G have shown real world examples prove 4G LTE is just as fast or faster. It's a scam to sell more phones and more expensive plans.

The 855+ or potential 865 will be either the same or almost the same with a marginal increase, it's not going to be slow and it'll do anything better than any other chipset at this time.
What can an 855 not do??
Honestly what can an 835 not do, there's a tonne of power there, theres no need at this point for a new chipset besides efficiency.

But if the people that are saying we should stopnwhining about the misskng jack, give me 12 dongles every year (lost mine after one month), and 5 pairs of bluetooth headphon3s, I will buy a phone without a headphone jack.
