MM69, 17 Feb 2021I need to know....Does this 8T have default Call record option?Yes, but will caution audio. You can avoid it by side loading oneplus dialer. It works just fine.

I adore the Oneplus line up as it is truly a spec level flagship but sacrifices some things. The best thing about a phone is not only the chipset, camera, and the OS. but the availability of everything to the users. it's good to hear that you are happy with your current phone. but let us not belittle other phones as other people buy those not for the specs, but for their budget.

As with my old 7T and 6T the camera is far from being likeable and decent (still better than a Realme 7/7Pro and Xiaomi Note 8 Pro though) and after 3 months i never received a single software update which greatly disappointed me.

It has better camera performance than the OnePlus 8T. However... OnePlus devices also push out updates more frequently, some OnePlus devices are already using Android 11 but Samsung is still stuck in Android 10.

With 11 years of owning Android phone what matters to me are: Taking photos of food, Photos with the wife using selfie camera (w/ a wide FOV), landscapes and sceneries (wide FOV of ultrawide camera and less noise when zooming in), video recording with no micro jitters or low audio bitrate, dual speakers, decent low light photos, natural/warm-ish colours and decent dynamic range on both cameras. Will i get those on a OnePlus 8T or a Galaxy S20 FE? (considering also which company does updates faster and more often).

First two days battery was draining but that was due to heavy backup from Google account and my old oneplus apps. After 2 days battery is working great, no issues. But I miss that green notification light of whatsapp msgs is not showing in one plus 8T. Rest all is well so far, display great, smooth and phone is very fast. Also dont buy extra case because I bought extra from Amazon along with the phone but case that is in box with phone is really good.

I dont know why people are posting negative reviews about battery. I bought 8T 256 12gb last month and its true first two days battery seemed to be draining fast but after that now with a normal use sometimes I charge once in 1-2 days. I think first 2 days my phone was working in background on backup from old phone and google, maybe that's why battery drained quickly but now totally happy. Phone is fast and smooth. One thing I miss I am not getting notification green light on off screen like in my previous Oneplus phones. Phone case I bought apart from Amazon but the one that comes with phone in box is better than other cases. So dont spend money on extra cases.

On paper and practice between the Xperia 5ii and OnePlus 8T which one has:
                                1. wider field of view on the ultrawide camera?
                                2. has bigger pixel size for better low light shots?
                                3. does HDR better on all cameras?
                                4. offer better video stabilisation in 1080p/60 up to 4K/30?
                                5. has a wider field of view and better HDR on the selfie camera?
Would appreciate all answers and comments please. Thanks.

I just purchased the 1+ 8T. I'm worried after seeing the negative reviews... battery draining issue, screen problem, lagging issues, overheating... I'm not really a camera guy so the camera doesn't bother me as much... I'm genuinely concerned. Can anyone who owned this device please address the issues you're facing if you have them?
