Anonymous, 19 Mar 2021No SD card, no audio jack, need bigger battery, no buy, thanks. That's the new OnePlus for ya. Old OnePlus is long gone by now.

IMHO the last best OP phone was the OnePlus 7 Pro, and the last best budget OP phone was the OP3. They've stopped making flagship killers and only make flagships now.

Their only customer base now is:
              A) Loyal OnePlus diehard fans
              B) New users who are late to the party and still think OP is the dark horse of phone brands.

The majority of their original consumer base (who want the flagship killers) are now gone.

I guess it's time to move on.

              RIP OnePlus 2014~2019

I don't mind not being able to unlock via fingerprint when it's sitting on a table, because overall I unlock my phone more when it's in my pocket or when I'm holding it. And besides there is face unlock.

Even though back fingerprint sensor is probably better suited for me, in-display sensors are cool enough to warrant to trade-off.

Kainey, 18 Mar 2021Why don't you like under display fingerprint sensor ? ... moreI think it depends on your device, but fingerprint reader on my samsung was a terrible experience - small reading area ( I was never able to put my finger directly on the right spot and it didnt work with partial reading), it was slow, and after a few months it stopped working at all. On the other side reader on my huawei which was at the back of the phone is lightning speed and always on the right spot even after a few years.

I do not understand why they have not updated the image of the phone as oneplus has already revealed the design of the phone. Also there is no mention of the Hasselblad branding and collaboration.

I'm confused, I genuinely don't see any downside to them. It's lightning fast, your thumbs easily reach them, you can easily unlock your phone while it lays on a desk, side mounted sensor would be hard to reach on big device like this. I had a Xperia 5 II for few days and the side mounted fingerprint sensor was always dirty, not finding my fingers, it was a nightmare to use.

Anton Samir, 12 Mar 2021It's the same capabilities as the OnePlus 8T. I think ... morethey used the 8T as an illustrative image until they receive the phones actual images (which they should have since we already know what the design will look like), and the specs are only supposed to be small upgrades, thats kind of the point

It's the same capabilities as the OnePlus 8T. I think the site copied the phone's picture and everything

Judging by specs and features, it's almost perfect. I hate under-display fingerprint sensors, even if they think that they ironed out the issues, I still hate them. If I were to buy this phone, I would turn it off and it would be as though I have no fingerprint sensor, even though I'd have paid for the more expensive one.

In my opinion, it's better to have a side mounted fingerprint sensor or even bring back the trusty rear mounted one, which I always liked, and bring the cost down another few bucks.

The rest of the specs and features sound pretty good though. But I wouldn't mind if a flagship had a bigger battery, maybe 5k mah. Just a little bigger. 4500 doesn't always get me to the next morning but the fast charge is enough to overlook this. I just wouldn't mind a little more juice.
