OnePlus 9 series to arrive with ColorOS 11 in China, global units will stick to OxygenOS
OnePlus, the totally independent brand that has nothing to do with Oppo, has announced its Chinese units will switch from HydrogenOS to ColorOS, starting with the 9 series that will debut tomorrow. The announcement arrived on OnePlus community forums, but a staff member assured the global devices will stick to OxygenOS.

HydrogenOS is a bit different from OxygenOS, mainly because it lacks Google services and is adapted to the Chinese market. The new ColorOS will be customized, “tailored specifically for OnePlus devices”.
The OnePlus spokesperson also said OnePlus “remains committed to offering a fast and smooth experience with OxygenOS” for users outside mainland China.
