I am using OnePlus 9R. The inbuilt camera app cannot recognize external microphone as your input while shooting video with your handphone. You can use other downloaded camera app, but you lose many functionality of the different lens.
This flaw has been there for many generation of OnePlus handphone, based on what I read in OnePlus community forum.

Reasons:
1. No timely updates
2. Updates only for namesake like security patches
3. Waste camera for 35k phone
4. BGMI not at all optimised, many users face touch issue, sync issue, no 90fps
And finally, this phone is treated by oneplus like 8 series phone and not a 9 series phone.

There were some problems with 9r with its initial release but I think most of them are fixed now except camera pics qaulity and naturality . Battery backup is indeed 5 star according to my experience . And yeah , 120hz and 60hz has minor difference on battery impact that is 30min less back-up with 120hz so don't worry about it .
I also use it with 50-70% brightness , indeed backup is good.

Hello Guys,
I am planning to buy this 9R phone but i heard it's has battery drain and heating issue.
Here is some questions which i need feedback from your side.
1) Battery backup with 120 hrz and 50-60 % brightness. (SOT)
2) It's is heat while watching YouTube, Facebook, Instagram (I am not playing much game ya but some time paying BGMI)? (It's is heat while using normal task i heard a lot for this)

if u are ok with a so so camera. pick this phone without a thought. the software is still reminiscent of older op phones. the speakers are good. the phone in my usage of 4 months hasnt heated abnormally. it gives me a decent sot of around 6-7 hours with moderate to heavy usage, its still buttery smooth, no lags whatsoever, no weird bugs to find yet. its a better phone than those having sd 888 or 8 gen1 ones. stability and performance anyday over heating and higher clock speeds. overall i am satisfied with my choice, will post an update after a year of usage.
