OnePlus joins forces with CATL to introduce next-generation battery tech

A reliable tipster in China hinted at a new battery tech involved in the upcoming OnePlus Ace 3 Pro, and now the company has officially confirmed the news. OnePlus has been working closely with CATL to bring what it calls OnePlus Glacier Battery.

The post begins with a quick throwback to when OnePlus introduced its 20W Dash Charge back in 2016 with its OnePlus 3, leading the fast charging revolution and is now trying to maintain its edge with the new battery tech.

The post itself doesn't reveal any details, but the word on the street is that the two companies have developed a high-performance battery for mobile devices, using a silicon negative electrode. It is said to offer higher density while maintaining a high charging speed.

According to last week's report, the handset will offer a huge 6,100 mAh battery with 100W charging - well above the industry averages.

The poster says the first smartphone with the new Glacier Battery, which is most likely the Ace 3 Pro, will be officially unveiled in China on June 20.

I am posting this comment from my Redmi Note 13 Pro+ with 5500 mhs and 120 W charger. Tell me why 6100+ mha with 100 w charger is so revolutionary
