MobileMan, 23 Sep 2020@Deadmanwade - Ok See Nords camera is Quite Good for Daylig... moreThanks for the honest feedback. I'm in the market hunting for my next phone. I thought Nord would be it coz they say oneplus OS is close to stock android. But I am having second thoughts because the camera seem to be underwhelming. It even lacks telephoto lens. My 2nd option was x3 superzoom coz it got zoom lens but im not a fan of IPS even if it got high refresh rate. Also x3 superzoom lacks 5g capabilities. So yeah still don't know what to purchase. K30 ultra has everything I need but it runs on CN rom and I lack the skills in reflashing or whatever techy people do to clean the system of chinaware.

@Deadmanwade - Ok See Nords camera is Quite Good for Daylight ( Close to OnePlus 8 Main Cam. as its same hardware ) , Contrast & Dynamic Range is quite good , it holds to Foilage & Video mode is also Good ( This all after updates , earlier it was bad ) , Seflie is Good in Daylight ( But hold it steady ) , UWSelfie is low quality but you have the option , At Nighttime , Performance drops ,though OIS can help in Market or Bus Street Photography for capturing Lights ( Unless you don't PixelPeep) , you need NightScape always On , as for Street Light Photos (DIm Scenes ) eg. Its acceptable but little bit off then even likes of POCO X2 ( Thanks to bigger sensor , POCO wins in night shots to Nord 6/10 times atleast.) , it has more details. Its Camera pales in comparison both Day & Night to Realme X2 Pro ( Dont go far See GSMArena review ) as its in same price range , or Redmi K30 ( In Most situations ) , this is all due to large sensor. Its only OIS which help take things Close , but then Realme has Telephoto.

Is Nord any good in camera department? Would I enjoy this taking night shots with this phone?

PaulMihai, 22 Sep 2020Pixel 5 looks really interesting if has everything the nord... moreIn a previous post, you said that stock android is basic to you and Nord has got everything you need. But, now you say that you prefer Pixel 5 (stock Android) over Nord. What happened ?

PaulMihai, 22 Sep 2020Pixel 5 looks really interesting if has everything the nord... moreMy dear friend, do you believe that Pixel 4a is priced lower by Google to help those who can't afford to buy flagship devices ? If you believe so, you are wrong. They priced it lower to compete with the budget device of Apple's, the iPhone SE 2020. We can't expect any more budget devices from Google this year. To be precise, even the Pixel 4a would cost more than $350 in India after taxes.

Pixel 5 looks really interesting if has everything the nord missed: metal body, better cameras, ip rating and in my opinion perfect size and a single front camera. If they somehow price it at 500$ I'll return the Nord and buy that :)))

@SubramaniamCn - Hell Yes , too many models finally i suggested Sam. A71 in Nords budget.
But responsible party is qualcomm & mediatek (Snapdragon more ) they allowed 4G chipset manufacture like 720 - 730 - 732 instead they should have done 765 - 770 - etc. Ie Not give makers the option of 4G , one after another , so we still have Dearth of 5G Globally & in Asian Markets incl. India. India more so but yes 5G is 2023.

MobileMan, 21 Sep 2020@VIneeth - If budget is not contraint then OnePLus 7T ( If... moreYou've described well about the state of Global Mobile Market. In simple terms, "Too many cooks spoil the broth."

@VIneeth - If budget is not contraint then OnePLus 7T ( If you change mobile every 3 Years ( Non 5G as 5G not in India ) , Best- OnePlus 8 Pro if you want 5G ( This is for Global EU & US Customers , incl India as its available ), True Flagship Experience Overall. Samsung i wont suggest till you get good deal on Note 20 ( Any Edition ) & S20 as that's also flagship.
In Cheap - Mi 9t or Redmi K20 Pro ( Except nighttime shots ) , Camera like Nord incl . Versatile Setup. (4G) other factors are very good for Price , then there's Realme X2 Pro (4G) again , Samsung A71 (5G) for EU , US is good. Pixel Phones are also good.
Huawei loses out till they sort out google issue.
Motorola Edge & Edge+ also good ( Use only there Cables , Motorola's motherboard is notorious for being Weak , so any slight variation might damage phone.)
I will not suggest Mi Note 10 as its MiUi , Realme X7 is also interesting in budget but lack of Telephoto is issue.

Anonymous, 20 Sep 2020https://www.gadgetsnow.com/tech-news/oneplus-nord-oneplus-8... morei have seen this bloatwares hidden away in the system apps. i think oneplus is leaning towards a partnership with facebook to pre-install all their apps to future oneplus devices. shady move by oneplus but it's one way to make money on their part. i just hope it doesn't affect battery and performance in the future.

PaulMihai, 20 Sep 2020This is a comment section for the Nord not OnePlus 8 and I&... moreThe website I referred to, not only speaks about OnePlus 8 but also about OnePlus Nord. Since I am unaware of these facts (presuming it is a fact), I ask for clarifications. The website describes that these applications are being hidden. My question is, why these uninstallable hidden apps are in place and for what ? I don't know whether you've checked your Nord for these hidden apps. Apps will need to hide only if you haven't installed them in your device. If you've installed Facebook uninstall it and check whether it is totally removed from your device or it hides itself. Install SD Maid App from Play Store and check for hidden apps. You may ignore this post, if this misleads you.

Pixel 4a - Much Better Memories (Photographs) , Stock Google Updates , Pocketable FOrm Factor

OnePlus Nord - Documentation , whatsapp , official work ( Bigger Screen the Better ) , UW CAM. Setup Front , Rear ) , Versatile UI ( More settings , icon changes etc.ie Oxygen OS ) , but compromise for nighttime shots

Iphone SE again same difference only it has smallest screen so it is cramped for office / Whatsapp , camera is better then nord & less then Pixel 4a. If you want Apple then only go.

@Shaheen Khan - Go with Nord you wont regret , camera is good for daytime shots , else you get OLED 90hz , Good software , big 6.44 inch screen.
@anonymous - Bigger Screen than Pixel 4a , 90 Hz., UW Cam. Setup Front-Rear , but yes if u dont want these then Pixel 4a might give more consistent software experience as no bloatware , Camera is way superior.
