So there was no reason for it to become niche. Just because it was turned NICHE by greedy manufacturers who wanted to sell accessories for extra, and buyers who fell for it; does not mean that I or countless others will accept it. Speaking for myself, I will never buy a phone without the 3.5mm jack PERIOD. It is one of the main reasons why I use a phone after all. If you want a smaller screen, but still buy a large screen, it is your fault, because you are approving the large screen, and not sending any message to the brands who make them.

Also, comments on gsmarena mean absolutely nothing. Lots of people on here seem to really like compact phones. So do I. HOWEVER, I fully accept the fact that the MAJORITY prefers phones with BIG displays. It's the same thing with 3.5mm jack, it's a niche feature and nothing more.

notafanboy, 30 Jun 2023so a tiny minority?Looking at the comments in practically every other page, lots of people want 3.5mm jack because it used to solve many problems. Higher audio quality, no need to charge, variety of earphone options from the cheapest to things that cost upwards of $2000. Everyone could buy according to what they needed. When they removed it, they took away all this and more. What did they gain out of it? Nothing. 3.5mm could have co-existed along with bluetooth options without any problem. But something which I can’t understand is why do people defend these brands for taking away a good feature? What are your reasons for not wanting a 3.5.mm jack? Please don’t tell me slimmer phone, more space for other components, because these reasons are proven to be nonsensical.

The design of Old OnePlus Nord 5G was more premium in hand . The new Nord 3 design is somewhat polarized. They kept updated the specs as well .... overall a Good device, not the best :)

I am almost on the verge of spending $300 to buy a Sony Walkman so that I can get a 3.5mm jack + sd card slot, in order to listen to high-res music; because there is no good phone which comes with these features anymore. Please avoid talking things, which you know nothing about.
