The 7+ Gen 3 is very close to the 8 Gen 2 btw

OpposedScroll75, 01 Apr 2024It's only barely faster than the 870, thoughSorry a715 cores and benchmarks only tell a certain story (dependant on storage they use, actual ram spec, SoCs can use a variety of ram types). Tbh the 870 ia still a beast of a SoC, it just doesnt beat a SoC 3 years newer than it. The 870 is literally between an 865+ and 888, I'd say real world the 7+g3 is about between the 888+ and the 8g1 probably.
Main thing to remember for the cpu is the 870 has a higher max clock on its single core, some benchmarks love higher clocks (think amd and intel couple years ago, intel was having to clock 5ghz or higher to match amd at low to mid 4ghz).

Camera is huge let down. Below average camera in 2024. No 12 GB ram version. Not worth to buy.

The 7+g3 is better than the 870 in basically every single aspect, newer and more efficient cores (x4, a720, a520 vs a77 and a55), faster ram, better gpu with more features, uses the armv9 instructionset over armv8, ita just overall the better SoC now.

Please look at the Antutu 10 results for the 7 Gen 3 and the 870.
