justasmile, 30 Jun 2024No, we don't, because it's just nonsense.Have some empathy, would you? There are people who are so PWM sensitive or have other health issues that they absolutely need a DC dimming OLED or just a plain old IPS LCD panel.

This phone is extremely bad considering the competition phones at this exact price range. 120hz and 50 MP Camera is Ok but tye Processor and the Wi-Fi and bluetooth versions are horrendous. I think this phone is not worth its price but it will do good if it was priced at around 14,000 INR.

Okay, so I got to handle one of these for a bit. Here are my initial impressions:
1. It's a well built and high quality device. It will last a few years if you take care. The device is just beautiful from the back. But it is slippery.
2. The display is an immense improvement over the CE 3 Lite. However, PWM sensitive people such as myself should try it out before buying. OnePlus claims a PWM frequency of 480 Hz (which is more than acceptable).
3. Touch responsiveness could be higher, but is acceptable.
4. I can't yet comment on the bettery life in daily usage. However, the battery should last quite a few years, according to the guy who showed me the device.
5. Performance in day to day usage is smooth, with only the occasional stutter. The top-centre of the back did get noticeably warm with some heavy usage, but nothing alarming. Switching between apps while multi-tasking is smooth for the most part. Except for the camera app...
6. The main camera takes decent photos and videos. The colours aren't as vibrant as with Samsung, but there is a decent level of detail in both photos and videos. No comments yet on the selfie camera, or the low light performance of the main camera. The main problem: The camera app seems slow to respond. When opening the camera app, there is a delay. There is also an annoying bit of lag when switching from the camera app to another or vice-versa. Perhaps this could be fixed in a future update?
7. OnePlus seems to have fixed the signal reception issues. The network reception is strong, download/upload speeds are good, call quality isn't excellent but is nonetheless satisfactory. The CE 4 Lite trounces comparably priced Samsung's in this regard. Where it fails, however, is in the fact that the Indian verion of this device supports half as many 4G/5G frequencies as its closes Samsung and Motorola competitors. This phone should be great for locals (all the imporant Indian bands are supported and signal strength is great) but it is not for those who travel.
8. The wi-fi is weird. The CE 4 Lite manages superior speeds compared to Samsung and Oppo devices, but Samsung and Oppo hold a usable wi-fi signal out to greater distances from the router (and with 2 or even 3 walls in the way). The device is also rather slow to reconnect to a wi-fi network it was previously connected to. It's a minor issue though.

Russel, 26 Jun 2024The issue for me is the lack of full hd Display in g34. Yes, the G34 has only an HD+ display. But it is a very good HD+ display that is more than adequate for its price bracket. And you have to keep in mind that it offers specs and performance similar to this (superior performance, actually) in addition to NFC, ridiculously good GPS, far more bands supported, stronger signal reception, superior gaming performance due to the low resolution - and all at a little over half of the price of this one. The only disadvantage I can think of with the G34 over this one would be the very slow charging (2 hours for a full charge).

darknight799, 25 Jun 2024G34 has lcd display, 18W charging and slightly smaller battery.Yeah, but at a little over half the cost of this thing, it is one of the best - if not the best - of bargains in the smartphone market right now.

Yeah... Okay... The Motorola G34 is a better deal than this.
PS:
Looks like I was right on this thing being neutered on the frequency support front.
Well, at least it has some improvements in other areas. And it is certainly a better deal than the Galaxy A25 (which has a comparable SOC, but with a worse display and modem). This will do okay among urbanites here.
