I've been using this for past 3 weeks and have got just one problem - low incall volume. This is said to be a software problem and an update would solve it.
Besides the mentioned problem, there is nothing else I'm disappointed with and would recommend to buy this phone.

Bigz, you're either butthurt cause you can't get one or you have no idea what you're talking about.

It seems like the most talked about 'feature' of this phone is how you can't buy it that easily...in Europe you can get it very easily...it's a great device for a price, but nothing special.

It seems the only reason people want this phone is because you can't get hold of it easily. A clever marketing strategy. I for one think the OPO is a badly designed product and I personally wouldn't want one for free. Look at people's feedback, the OPO is plagued with problems and the majority of people who finally get the phone immediately sell it on because they are so disappointed.
I have ordered a ZTE Nubia z7 Mini which is on par with the spec of the OPO, a lot cheaper and much better looking.

I have had my OnePlus One handset now for just over a week and I must say, I LOVE IT! Why? well here's the story.
I have always had a fascination about mobile/cellular technology and have had too many handsets than I'd care to remember. I have spent quite a few years working in the mobile retail industry too, so I know the odd thing or two about them.
In the Western part of the world, we tend to be cautious of things that come from Asia, in particular from China. Why? Well that's another discussion altogether. But even people from that part of the world even tend to stay clear. Is this a fair assumption? I think so. Is it fair to the companies in China? I don't think it is.
From out of nowhere, (well, OPPO to be precise) a company called OnePlus hit the headlines claiming to be the 'Flagship Killer'. Could this be so? I mean, who are they? What's their game?
Having read about the One, I liked the look of the specs and looked for comparisons. I liked the look of the LG G3 and was contemplating that on a £33 monthly tariff on the 3 network. (If you haven't guessed by using the pound sterling sign, I'm in the UK) This would have gotten me 600 minutes, Unlimited Text, free calls to 0800 number and all you can eat data and tied into a 24 month contract.
I thought this was ok but though I would look at their sim only plans. The above tariff was plentiful for me, 600 minutes equates to 10 hours per month talk time. I'm a guy, I don't talk on the phone that much! I didn't really want to be tied into a contract if I could help it so looked at their 1 month rolling plans. There is was the above tariff, £21 a month, can quit at any time. So I worked the difference out between that and the first tariff which, accounted for a £288 price difference over the 2 years which isn't that bad considering the LG G3 is worth £500 to buy sim free.
I looked around to see what that £288 could buy and wasn't amused to the lack of choice. I wanted an all singing/all dancing handset. Nothing took my fancy!
By this time, I completely forgot that I had registered my interest into the OnePlus One handset until, one day late in August I was sent an invite to buy the handset. So I looked up the specs again but since other people had been getting their handsets I read a few of the reviews on there. I took into account that one only hears negative comments about products. We, as human beings are quick to raise a grievance but extremely slow to show our appreciation.
I was a bit hesitant when I read about a yellow band, yet relieved to hear there was a work around (not fix) but a work around where you could blend the colours on the screen. I decided there and then I'll order the handset.
As soon as I ordered I joined in on the forums (forums.oneplus.net) where I could converse with other users hear their experience and to help new forum members as time went on.
The Camera is astonishing, it's not cheap by all means, it has Sony's latest Exmor R sensor and takes stunning images and video recordings. I love being able to film my dog being ditzy, chasing her tail or running after a ball in slow motion, filming at 120fps in 720.
The battery is great for a phone this powerful. I get 2 days out of it with constant use, bluetooth, wifi, gps, constant checking of emails from the servers, full screen brightness all switched on which I think is pretty impressive.
The speakers....Well, I don't have to plug in any external speakers to hear my music. I can now leave my handset in the living room whilst I'm working away in the kitchen. This is two rooms away and I can hear the sound crystal clear. One of my previous handsets was another One, the HTC One, again, this was a great handset but boy, the OnePlus One knocks the HTC out of the water!
This handset, by far, is the best handset I have EVER owned. I believe when they say, It certainly IS a flagship killer. Like they've said to Apple "Welcome to the PLUS family" :)
For half the price of a 'flagship' I have certainly got the best handset going!

aku, 15 Sep 2014How to claim warranty if we in Malaysia? Anyone frm malaysi... moreTo claim under warranty, simply go to the OnePlus website (link below) and submit your claim.
Please bear in mind that they are a new company, they are still evolving, they still have a lot of queries from customers wanting the handset. The claim may take a little while to process. (No, I don't work for OP)
