Interesting. I am a bit disappointed...but I am not quite sure why. When compared to the Moto G 3rd gen with 16GB and 2GB of RAM - this OnePlus X is $30 more but...

The X has more RAM (2gb vs 3gb)

The X is significantly smaller (11.6mm thick vs 6.9mm...other dimensions favor the X as well)

The X officially supports larger SD card sizes. Yes, the Moto G will support sizes larger than 32GB but not officially. So...this one probably doesn't matter.

        The X has a bigger battery (2470 vs 2525).

The X's CPU "should" be better than the Moto G's (410 vs 801).

The X "can" support dual SIMs...but at the cost of the SD card slot. So depending on your needs this might be a bonus or not.

Of course, there are quite a few niceties for the Moto G as well. Historically it should have better support. 6.0 is already officially planned. It supports waaaay more bands. If you don't need or want the extra RAM and internal space you can save even more money (savings of $70 if you get the cheaper one). It has a more vanilla android experience vs Oxygen OS...though the people I know when the OnePlus One have tried both and don't see huge differences. This might be a big one....no waiting list.

Hmmm...I think I just talked myself into getting the X. I am sure the Moto G is a great phone but I cannot get past the extra weight and thickness. I like my phones small.

For those comparing the X to other phones that are similarly priced or cheaper... I am confident there are better phones out there. But most of those just don't have the LTE bands to compete in the US. Shame too as there are some awesome phones out there that will never compete in the US.

Anonymous, 29 Oct 2015why they used 2 year old processor 801 now in this phone.. ... moreThat's not 2 old years processor. Is 2014 flagship processors. Galaxy S5 and OnePlus One has them and those are phones that are behaving excellent.

People forget, that is not about the specs, but the user experience, and how responsive is the phone based on that hardware. My have still has a Nexus5 with even older CPU (SD800) and that phone is "flying" in hand. Very responsive with android Marshmallow on it.

Anonymous, 29 Oct 2015why they used 2 year old processor 801 now in this phone.. ... moreBecause this phone costs 250 us dollars! It's meant to be a cheaper phone and the fact that a phone for this price can use a processor which was cutting edge only a year ago is a brilliant achievement.

this device look like the same as ZTE Nubia Z9! how it feels when OP have no ideas to make a different phone and then copy the others design?!

I am sure they nobody will buy it because only have OP name...instead have a phone with OP name on it, the "original" is ZTE Nubia Z9, NOT THIS.

All chinese brands are cop/cat's of themself...dissapointing!

No NFC, no Android Pay, no future proof. But thats ok. NFC is just a chip they would have added.
No Fingerprint. Thats too is ok as Fingerprint has no purpose on Android.
Rest amazingly compact mobile altogether with USB Type C, Amoled Full HD and 3 Gigs of RAM should give much better benchmarks. Crispier cam, Crisper Screen. Fastest OS.
Yes, Its the best mobile for daily driver to anyone in 2015/2016. What else to expect.

Very impressed with the design, build and screen choice. Bravo. Now for the next one, put an 820 in it and start the storage at 32GB of reasonably fast storage and that will be my next phone. I know it will cost more, I'm willing to pay more if it performs and is made well.

It would have been phone of the Year, had they not messed up by putting that limitation in the sim tray ... either dual sim or one sim + memory card .

At least they should had put up a 32 gigs variant .
