Added salt to the injusry is non-removable batt (come-on, android is not thr yet... it still freezes up occasionally, only option then would be to wait till batt dies) and no compass ???? Really ?? This phone should be a perfect example of strictly what not to buy.

The device is amazing, bit prone to fingerprints but I am habitual to that because I have previously used a SONY Xperia™ Z C6602. Overall the phone has awesome performance and amazing looks. Its very light weight and can handle any heavy or light game with hardest settings, it supports dual SIM, expandable memory and OTG Support. The main demerits are OnePlus doesn't have good service support, no updates regarding OS and you will not get any default music and gallery application in the phone. Its my second Android phone after iOS, its good and satisfying, I will never compare Android to iOS because there is no comparison of cheap OS with Apple. But overall the phone works good, OnePlus does not provide any earphones but it comes with a rubber cover in the box.

I'm on the hunt for good phone under $500nzd, I'm looking for something with a good screen, battery and powerful enough to play hearthstone and things like that.

I've got a one+ right now and it's been excellent for a couple of years but now the battery life is taking a hit so it's time to move on (maybe i'll permimount it in my G910)

Looking around I can see a few options that look really good
If you own the OnePlus X would you recommend it?

Weight < 120g, ideally = 100g.
HIGH END AUDIO CHIP.
Screen to body ratio 75%+
Keep 1080p & 5" OLED screen.

if u want dual sim and are ok with little drawbacks go with oneplus x. drawbacks are nothing but less features than oneplus one, no nfc, only 16gb is memory, and no cynogen
