BigFatPastry, 27 Oct 2020So, I have been using this phone for almost 2 years now. I ... moreI can relate, I've been using this phone for 2 yrs also and I was unaware with tech or whats good and what to consider when buying a phone. And it freezes lol, unlike last year I can download at least 1 heavy game like cod, ml, pubg, identity v, and others but ofc as the games progressed, their sizes increased so I don't have any other options but not to play anymore, kinda sad :((

So, I have been using this phone for almost 2 years now. I got the 2GB RAM/16GB variant. Back then, I didn't know much about smartphones so I went with what the seller recommended without doing any research. It was a mistake :(
Hardware-wise, I found it to be decent for me. The battery now gives me around 6-7 hrs of SoT when using regular apps like FB, Whatsapp, Reddit, YT etc. No heating problems as well, unless I game on it. Display is decent enough for outdoor use. Brightness boost makes the screen look weird sometimes though. I am not really a camera person, but it still took nice photos for its price range.
The one problem I had was with the headphone jack. Sometimes it doesn't connect well. I don't know if it was a software or hardware problem though.
As I did no research before buying this phone, I regretted with other stuff. It came with ColorOS 5.1 (Android 8.1) and didn't got any version updates; it's still the same. The two feature updates it only got, brought nothing good except bold text in some places and the sidebar (I like this one). But it's still getting security updates which is nice.
Overall UI is clunky as hell and recently I am having frequent freezing. Gestures don't work sometimes. Memory management is too aggressive. It kills whatever app is in the recent apps too fast. I can't even use Google Photos auto-backup in the background even if I let it run.
Also. the storage sucks. I thought 16GB would be enough for me but no, the whole OS takes more than half of it and increases it size as the time goes. I had to format the phone many times when I run out of space.
General performance is fine, apart from lagginess. I used to play Modern Combat 5 and CODM in low settings and it was playable but with frequent stutters. Recently I am also experiencing more stutter and some ghost touches which are annoying.
Another problem I'm having is with microSD cards, especially 16GB ones. For some reason the phone corrupts them. It already wasted 3 cards and considering how less the space is available in internal storage, microSD cards are unavoidable.
Most of my problems are related to software. I like that it has no ads but I wish I could flash a custom ROM. OPPO blocked users from accessing the bootloader and custom ROM scene is dead. I will probably continue to use it for another year (because the battery is fine) until the software gives up. Will probably get a mid range phone then.

This Phone is pretty good I've been using it for 1 year already I'm from Philippines, It's true that it's not that good since it's a budget smartphone and the camera is average and the snapdragon 450 is not fast, but when I said It's good its not about the camera or it's chip it's about the phone signal it's blazing fast the switching of 3g-4g works very well it can beat other smartphones in term of signal coverage so if you guys are looking for a budget phone for online class I think this is the best choice.

Yes the battery is so good that can even last a whole day ! But the storage is really sucks , you cant even use your sd card for big apps like ml and minecraft when the phone storage is full the only apps you can trasfer is photos , camera etc..
Dont buy this phone if you like playing online games because it wont tranfers to sd card and the phone storage its not that big so it will crash your game.

There's no use of that, even if you're trying so hard.
Immediately change your phone from where you bought that.
Lot's of unnecessary applications already installed that will consumed your 8GB remaining memory from ROM.
