i purchased oppo a 57 phone . the shop seller told it is 4g compatible , but when i send check 4G status to airtel using a 4G sim , it says phone is not 4G compatible , what to do , any suggestions please

Hi I just bought a OPPO A77 but I noticed that there is no icon sign informing there is a new message for my SMS, whatapps and Gmail. It should be a red dot which will dissappear when the messages have been read.
How do I do this setting?
