Oppo A78 4G announced with Snapdragon 680 and 67W charging
The Oppo A78 4G is finally official as the latest device announced by the brand in Indonesia. As expected, the A78 4G brings several noteworthy changes compared to its 5G counterpart including a smaller 6.43-inch AMOLED display (FHD+ 90Hz) with a punch hole cutout, a Snapdragon 680 chipset and faster 67W charging.
Oppo A78 4G sports the same back design with a 50MP main cam and a 2MP depth module and also includes an 8MP front-facing camera. The software side is covered by ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13 while the battery capacity comes in at 5,000 mAh.
Oppo A78 4G is available in Sea Green and Black Mist colors and comes in a single 8 GB RAM and 256GB storage trim. Pricing is set at IDR 3,599,000 ($236 converted) and buyers in Indonesia will also get a free pair of Enco Buds2 in White with their purchase from Oppo’s official online store.

Sure, Samsung has better SoC and software. Again, in the end, it’s about trade offs. The A78 still has the benefit of 256GB, IP54, and more compact size.
