It is quite good in terms of hardware overall. Very fast, no lagging, good camera, good signal. But the fact that there is no root available or option to move apps to SD card is a big problem. Why do they even provide a SD card slot when one cannot move apps to external memory. There is no multi-screen option as well.

“Fidelity Matters”
Sometimes all you need is to trust the device very carefully. This happened with my Oppo F1 which is super fabulous and awesome in all features.

every phone has pros and cons. whereas some people like it very much, others say it is a bad product and that is all. so in my opinion go ahead for which you interest most.

AnonD-515709, 10 Apr 2016For you which is better oppo or samsung? In your opinionIt really depends on what you mean by 'better'.
I have never personally owned a Samsung phone, but I have used friends and family's.
Samsung make an enormous amount of stuff, including manufacturing actual memory chips and storage, as well as TV's etc so they are able to pool their vast resources .
Oppo makes some really decent gear too like their headphone range, but product diversity is minimal. But they're 'up and coming' they're relatively new to the smartphone world and they focus on a lower price bracket.
I would say that Samsung overall is better at smartphones, but they've been doing it a long time. Though, I couldn't get a similar spec'd Samsung for the money I paid for the Oppo F1.

I bought the Oppo F1 last week. I can confirm the FM radio feature (at least in my region, Australia).
My device reports the screen is 720 x 1280 : 320 ppi (not ~294 ppi as stated here in specs)
No overheating issues at all; the warmest it gets is while charging and it is not that warm at all. Charging does take longer than my last phone Huawei G510 though, that is understandable considering battery capacity.
No issues with notification lag. (ColorOS did update after first setup).
Multitasking is fine so far; have had several Chrome tabs open with YouTube app and some other apps and music player all running simultaneously and switched between with no problems.
Things I don't like:
*It only came in white. (for me)
*ColorOS theme store has small selection
*The Dirac HD feature only works with included jumk earbuds. (disappointing because Oppo make really good headphones otherwise)
*No NFC or Qi wireless charging
*No gyroscope: Not Google Cardboard compatible
Things that are Fantastic:
*Comes with applied scratch resistant screen protector and rubberised case.
*Camers and camera modes
*Price

AnonD-405772, 04 Feb 2016does it support wifi hotspot?Yes. I tested this myself.
And if you look under the specifications, COMMS > WLAN > Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot
