First let me assure everyone by stating the Oppo F7 is an excellent device. But is it's a value for money device from Oppo? Almost!!! And this is not a trait that was previously followed by Oppo or Vivo as they always gun for offline markets with high margins. But recently Oppo became very aggressive on pricing, and even launching sub-brand like RealMe to compete with Xiaomi Mi series in India.
I have been fortunate to use quite a few smartphones in the past which mainly included flagships from Vivo, Lenovo & Huawei. This includes phones like X5Max, X5Pro, XShot, V3Max & V5Plus from Vivo's stable. I have also made some round trips using Lenovo Vibe X3 and my current phone is a Huawei Honor View 10. Which brings us to the question as of why I am talking about Oppo F7? Well I have recently gifted my wife a F7; the solar red variant and it looks just gorgeous on her hands. I also did a lot of research before buying the F7 and know the in and out of it. I also used it extensively.
Previously my wife used to have a Vivo V3Max but while it was an excellent device with Snapdragon 650 onboard, we were currently facing one major issue with this phone. Currently all phones in India supports 4G VoLTE only in SIM1 slot, but the other SIM always runs on 3G or 2G. With Airtel also launching their own VoLTE service along with Reliance JIO, both of us were in desperate need for smartphones which supports dual 4G VoLTE on both the SIMs simultaneously. However such a function cannot be enabled on existing phones via an OTA update, you will need hardware support for that, more precisely from the SoC in the phone. As of now only a few SoCs have such support, and one of them is the MediaTek Helios P60 found inside F7.
Speaking of Helios P60, it's a great SoC one that punches much above its weight and makes Qualcomm to sit up and take notice. Somebody rejecting the F7 just because it uses a MediaTek chipset will be making a huge mistake. Past MediaTek performance X-series used to be power hungry hogs draining the battery fast and producing a lot of heat. On the other hand their P-series SoC used to be efficient but was capped with outright performance. But with Helios P60, MediaTek had all the moons & stars aligned and it happens to be a powerful as well as efficient chipset. It consumes very less battery due to its advanced 12nm manufacturing process, rejects very less heat as it is very efficient but at the same time having four powerful Cortex-A73 cores running at 2.0 GHz makes it very powerful chip. The other four Cortex-A53 cores do less intensive tasks. Now my wife is getting twice the battery life in F7 and more performance in comparison to her previous device that used Snapdragon 660 which speaks a lot.
Recently I got a super deal during Independence Day offer in PayTm Mall which reduced the price of Oppo F7 from INR 20K to INR 15K and I grabbed one. For that price the F7 becomes a direct competitor of Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 (6 GB RAM version) and personally I believe the F7 is a better all-rounder phone of the two as my friend owns the M1. I also want to add that recently both Oppo & Vivo have appeared to change their Android version upgrade policy and now their mid to flagship models always receive version upgrades. For example my Vivo V5Plus initially shipped with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), was upgraded to Android 7.0 (Nougat) midlife and will now receive Android 8.0 (Oreo) around November. In the same way I believe at least there should be one android version upgrade with F7.

For those who asking "Is there an Update for Oppo F7?" Answer: For me"Maybe No" Why???
Reason:
1.Mediatek Processor
2.Oppo and Vivo doesn't have Software updates only bug fix
I have Oppo F7 too and I know there is 0% chance to update an Mediatek Phones

Ippo cheating customers a phone's camera should also provide good video recording abilities, nobody asked for 4k recording but 1080p with OIS/Image Stabilization is mandatory which markets it's phones as camera phones. CHEAP OPPO CHEAP...

fekry, 25 Aug 2018anyone have software lags ? I bought an oppo f7 4 gb ram about 2 weeks ago, really great phone,loud speaker, great battery life, really smooth performance except when playing graphics intensive games like PUBG minor stutter, the ui is really clean almost stock android, i give this phone 4.6 stars

I was planning to buy oppo f9 pro or huawei nova 3i which is better guyz?
And i was confused because some would comment dissappointed and yet some says this f7 is really great so now im Thinking maybe thoae guyz who got dissappointed got a fake cellphones because i have a friend of mine got Oppo F7 6GB RAM and yet why is so so smooth to used and no ISSUES? Maybe those who have complaints got fake or trying to destroy the reputation of OPPO industry

I also own a Note 8, but I find Oppo to be more responsive and much much much better on battery management. Above all Oppo is one of the few phone brands which allows you to delete each and any app one would want to delete, including the Google apps. And one can download apps from both the Oppo store or Play Store. What are those third party apps you are talking about?
