Love this phone not just because of very fast charging and long durable battery(despite of two sims) but features as well. I bought this phone to find good display & dual sim this phone really helped me ditching my iPhone :)
Its an honest opinion of mine. you don't know about something unless you experience it yourself.

battery backup very bad, charging takes lot of time, as said not in 10 minutes

Honestly, I had never seen an Oppo until 2017 in Thailand. Didn't really think about it until 2018 when my homegirl told me that her phone was an Oppo F3 and that her sister had the F1. Neither of those snapped really good photos (LG G4 like photos). Then, her sister got the F9(6g RAM).
This phone is nearly as good as my old S9+ in terms of performance (within 20%). There only 2 or 3 place where the performance is slightly slower. Different processors but almost as butter smooth playing PUBg, Marvel and NBA Live(a couple of stutters but not constant or frequent). Her battery lasted thru the day while she took about 35 photos in addition to gaming & several video chats.
The phone is downright sexy in person the photos do not do its looks justice. Very high gloss outside. The Knotch is not even noticeable in use and I would say it's the best looking notch of any phone made. The selfie-cam is like 24mps and it is clearly obvious in selfies and video chat. YES. BETTER THAN IPHONE OR THE GALAXY LINE FOR SELFIES. It does have a beauty feature but you can turn it off. The video is just OK but the stabilization is really only suggestive. I would not exactly call it stabilized but I am a video specialist so my scrutiny is unfair.
As far as midrange phones go this is one of the best.
PS: I own S9+ and V40. If you want an Oppo on that level then you want the Oppo Find X.

UI from Huawei, and Samsung, is far ahead than Oppo (or Vivo)....That company is still in infancy and they need more time to make a good UI. Cannot even use Wifi direct to connect to another brand. If you want a chinese phone, it is much better to stay with Huawei for the moment.

the UI of oppo f9 pro is very substandard. there is nothing smart about this smart phone OS.1) there is no default option for sms messages. every time you have to click on the service from which u have to send the sms.2) there is no gallery. you have to download an external gallery. photos option given takes more steps to find videos etc...3) though u set a default service provider for calling again you will see both the sim services in dial pad from which you have to click on the one you want( the purpose of setting a default is lost here).4)there is no sms message lock option.any important message if by chance you delete thats it its gone.for this another external app. so pathetic.5)the worst part is the reboot option,silent mode,vibrate mode are very difficult to reach. u normally get all these options by long pressing the power button. but here there are different combinations for each and every option. what is smartness? they boast of some colorOS which lacks any sheen at all. such a complicated way they have made the OS.6)THE FAce recognition feature is very poor.many times it says the face doesnt match.7) the settings menu is very confusing and complicated. u cant understand the things in a simple and easy manner.8)contacts app is poor. doesnt pick photographs. have to download an external app.9) screen saver is forced on you if u use phone manually.there is no option to remove screen saver.u have to swipe up the screen saver every time and then enter the home screen 10) hotspot is turned off automatically when no device is connected. This is so stupid.there is no choice given to the user. In most cases there is arbitrary options and no choice given to the user to use his choice.11) when a notification/message of any app comes when u r on any screen u have to swipe it up to remove it but not to side which is very inconvenient and stupid.12) back ground apps move from side to side but not from up to down. because of this u can only see two app at a time and moreover the close option is not given at the top right hand corner.13) notifications of any apps cant be removed by just a swipe. u have to swipe it only from right to left and then again click on delete option.14) it looks like oppo has engaged some real "JUNK HEADS" in preparation of their OS. simple tasks all have been very deliberately complicated and made difficult. it is very irritating to use this phone. i will never buy any oppo product again in my life time. to sum up i did not find this smart phone smart in any way because of their stupidly created COLOR OS( there is no option to use android 8.1 and have to use color OS only), unnecessarily complicated navigations, very difficult approach to certain functions.

Battery life seems fine to me. I've cycled the battery several times and am getting more than a day of fairly heavy use with lots of facebook, videos, music and photography etc. With light use it will stretch to two days. The cameras are noticeably better, especially in low light than my old phone but I rarely take selfies so the selfie camera is overkill. I like being able to use two sim cards and a 256GB micro sd card at the same time and it's nice to have a headphone socket as I've got a lot of money invested in good quality earbuds and headphones.
I recommend this phone as being good value for money and it compares well to the Samsung, Sony and Honor phones I've used.

Phetez, 15 Dec 2018Battery charges so fast. From 5% battery, At 30 mins, its a... moresame here. we bought the phone 2days ago. I returned it the day after because of lagging experience and battery drains faster in just 4.5hrs. thats unreasonable. I needed a replacement or change of unit.
