I'm not a fan of this from factor as to me it's more a gadget than really adding value. Don't get me wrong, I do like the development of the flexible screens and so and I do recognize the added value for business usage as a portable pc of kind but the current lineup don't seem to aim these people. They are more aimed at gadget savvy people who are willing to pay a very substantial amount of cash, just to show off with it. That being said, this design attracts me a lot more than the offerings of Samsung and other ones. It seems to be as well (or even better) build as the latter offerings.
Well, lets see when it gets available in Europe. Who knows, in a moment of complete absurdity, and if having enough cash laying around, I migt be tempted to buy one.

Oppo just killed Samsung, we all saw the reviews from YouTube about Oppo Find N, the almost perfect foldable phone that Samsung didn’t make 3 generations. When going for Samsung turn around check the other companies and decide what to buy, because Samsung have big merchandise and weak phones, tablets and laptops, big words from big company and shows some joke to all of us.

MG, 16 Dec 2021well.. having a last year part will help reduce the price t... moreYes, people like to overreact, its not like 888 suddenly became shit APU, and a lot of people dont care that much about proccesor. It is good to have better processor for the same money, but price vise only competitor to this is Samsung Flop which folds differently and has same processor

Looks promising, yet alot like huawei and moto/lenovo did help with this one (the crease!). As far as I know Oppo their phones won't be available outside of china anytime soon plus if they are available their prices will be higher...which makes the find N a none-worthy competitior to Samsung as of now - you just can't buy one, whereas Samsungs phones get cheaper every single day.
Oppo should step up the game and release internationally. Just then we will see how well their foldables rival Samsung's. That said, it's not hard to rival Samsung right now. Owning a Flip 3 I know there's a lot of potential untouched by Samsung.

[deleted post]You do know there is A LOT more to performance of a CPU than its clock speed, right?
I don't know what phone you have and what SoC it's using but a lot more changes when a new ARM core design is released (like the X1) than just clock speeds. Cache sizes, and a ton of architecture changes probably are why you might be seeing lower clock speeds. Because they can get higher performance than the last gen while using less power, and generating less heat.

I actually like it. It's as tall as an iPhone 13 mini but obviously pretty thick (nearly 17 mm) and heavy (275 g). But the drawbacks are...
- ColorOS
- Still expensive
- Only in China
- Fairly thick and heavy
I know Oppo. I lived right next to a mall in the Philippines and there was a store for it that replaced HTC. Oppo just doesn't cater to other markets and they price their phones pretty high. Like higher than Huawei.
This is very niche and it will probably still be expensive in a few years like the Find X from over 3 years ago. I do like the device and prefer this size to the Fold 3's taller and narrow outer display. It's not better than the Fold 3 but it's better for my usage.

Anonymous, 15 Dec 2021Why do people always care so much about memory cards so muc... moreNo MicroSD wouldn't be a complete deal breaker for me, but they are quite handy.
I have a 128 GB Note 20 Ultra 5G. I've never come close to running out of internal storage but it's still nice having my 512 GB MicroSD card. A lot of apps take advantage of MicroSD cards. Apps like Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Podcast apps, etc all give you the option to store downloaded media from the app to the MicroSD card. Google Maps lets you store offline map data to the SD card. The camera app will ask you the first time you launch it if you want to have your photos and videos automatically save to the SD card.
It's really just that I don't see any downside to having one. Not only do lots of apps still take advantage of it if you have one, but I can also use it for things like throwing a bunch of videos or movies or whatever files are want onto. It just works like a flash drive basically when plugged into a PC.
Also, I love the ability to create a full system backup to my MicroSD card with Samsung Smart Switch. That way if I reset my phone for some reason, or upgrade to a new Samsung (assuming it has a MicroSD card slot of course) I can have all my settings, messages, and even apps restored in ~5 mins.

Sajaad, 15 Dec 2021Snapdragon 888? Lmfao thats a 1 year old chip lolllllllllllll! well.. having a last year part will help reduce the price tag. See not everyone is looking forward to owning a FLAGSHIP with all the muscles around it! some just need a convenient phone that has the features that suite their needs. how about having a tablet + a phone that are well packaged and well priced.. but lacking a bit behind in the performance department
