Love how people only love talking about the negatives of the sliding mechanism. Some positives are the obvious peace-of-mind that nobody can spy on you (lol) and also this SIGNIFICANTLY reduces the chance of getting cracks across the front and back camera from a drop or keys etc.

If you people complaining about the headphone jack actually had enough brain space to do some light research you will see that this phone has the usb-c port, speaker grille, AND micro sd card slot all along the bottom. No port could go in the top 1/5 of the phone because of the sliding mechanism. Yes, an sd card slot can be on the side, but there probably wasn't an arrangement that worked with the amount space they had especially because the motor is quite large for the large portion that slides out. Go buy an S8/S9 if you want a headphone jack and no notch.

I don't even mind the fact that this phone doesn't have a 3.5 headphone jack, but no fingerprint scanner is such a terrible Apple move! That sliding mechanism is going to break even faster now thanks to 3d scanning.

It would be excellent phone but with much bigger battery.
Dont tell me in phone like this it was space only for 3730 mAh.
Thats just a joke.
For people asking for jack well start to like jackless phones.
Jack era is finaly over and now wireless and bluetooth will roam everywhere.

Not an ideal phone for india and othr cpuntries wch hs humid climate.
Motorised slider phone are worst enemy of swaet as sweat can malfunction sliders.
Slider concept is flop in india. Motorizr followed by blackberry both made losses in indian mkt.

How is it 86.5% StB ratio? The bottom bezel seems slimmer than the NEX, and it has curved edges as well which should give it another advantage for the StB...

Everyone be advised that there is no fingerprint sensor on this phone whether in-display or physical. It relies on Face scanning.
